Leo and Stanley woke up. They glanced around the room and gasped at the sight of Detective Brians.

"I didn't kill him." I whispered.

"Who did?" Leo asked.

"Tiffany."

Stanley shook his head. "She's purely evil."

"Right before she killed him, I asked her questions about what changed her. She actually sounded like she cared about something. She said she was alone, but that's how she liked it. I thought she was just in a lot of pain. Now, I think you're right. She is evil." Leo and Stanley watched me. I smiled and shrugged, as if nothing was wrong.

"Where is she now?" Stanley asked.

"I don't know." Leo glanced at Stanley like he just realized he was here.

"Chelsey called me last minute. I said I'd help her." Stanley looked as me and Leo. "I was trying to help, I didn't mean anything by it."

"Somehow, I doubt that." Leo snarled.

"Leo! He was willing to help, when you weren't there." I scolded him.

"I couldn't help not being there. Someone knocked me over the head. And I bet I know who." He stared pointedly at Stanley.

"You're being mean, Leo. I'm sure he didn't have anything to do with it."

"He could still be working with your sister. Detective Brians was. He could be playing us."

"Enough! You have no idea what happened. You were knocked out." I snapped.

"You don't think it was convenient he was there to step in?" His voice rose.

"I called him. He had no idea where I was or what was going on. He just came because I needed him."

"How can you trust him? You just met him."

"He was there when I called." I protested.

"He was dating your sister. Don't you find it weird that he helps you?" Leo fired back.

"Are you jealous?" I asked.

"No."

"Leo, why are you so angry?"

"Never mind. Let's just go." He sighed.

I turned to Stanley. "Thank you."

"Anytime. If you need anything, you can call me." He offered. I gave him a brief nod and went to the door. Leo glared at Stanley before we left.
