15. Absent.

I sat up in bed still in my dress and jewelry.
My head hurt so bad.
Thank gosh school wasn't today.
I drearily got up and started walking to the bathroom, I was going to take a long shower.
I turned around getting ready to take my hair out and looked in the mirror..Crap! " oh my gosh no...." I whined softly.
I can't Belive I left all my makeup on! I'm gonna have such bad acne later!   " ughhh...." I kept whining as I scrubbed my face gently.
" Mijo are you okay?" My father yelled through my room door.
" I'm fine Papa don't worry " I called loudly.
After I finished scrubbing I decided to call Lily, She's gonna get a kick out of this I thought smiling.
I called and it rang and rang but no answer... " That's funny" I thought.
She's probably sleeping in. I thought smiling.
I unlocked the bathroom door and grabbed my clothes from the other room.
My shift at Wendy's starts in an hour I gotta get going.
So I turned the shower on and jumped in and out as quick as possible.
After I finished in the shower I got my clothes on and started blow drying my hair.
I quickly braided it into a loose fishtail doubling the elastics at the bottom, A small price to pay having Thick hair.  I threw on some mascara and my favorite shade of lipstick 'Mudslide' it was a brownish nude color.  I ran to my room and grabbed my bag and started racing down the hallway.
I almost fully collided with my father running like a crazy person down the hall.
" Woah! Slow down Mijo!" My father said chuckling.
" Sorry Papa!" I yelled opening the door.
I ran out only to realize I totally forgot shoes!
" Dear Lord help me" I cried running back in.
I ran to my room, Grabbed my White Converse and fast walked to the door.
Only listening a little bit I heard my papa laughing on the phone " She's going Loco Mama" he said laughing. I smiled, My Papa was one in a Billion.
Realizing I still had 20 minutes before I had to be there, I called Lily to see if she needed a ride.
I tried twice but no answer, I texted her "we have 20 minutes before work, do you want me to pick you up?" I texted her quickly before jamming the phone into my pocket.
I started driving to work.

When I got there only the manager and a few other employees were there.
But no Lily. I started to wonder a little bit but was quickly snapped out of it by my Manager.
" Hey Guerro! Quit daydreaming! Table 4 needs attention" He called out pointing.
I looked up startled I quickly walked over to table 4.
" Hi! What can I get for you guys today?" I asked a middle aged couple looking maybe in there 50's.
" Um I will have a spicy chicken nugget sandwich and a coke please" The guy said smiling.
" I'll have the same but without pickles and a Lemonade" The woman said beaming.
" Great! That will be right out!" I said smiling, Before walking away.
I posted the order on a magnet wall by the kitchen sink so that Gary (The cook) could see it.
Ugh I really miss Lily. I thought sighing.

" Hey where is that blonde chic?" Michael ( the manager) asked frowning.
I shrugged,  " but aren't you like friends or something?" he asked annoyingly.
" Yeah, but I don't know where she is" I responded looking down at my fingernails.
" Well tell her if she doesn't show up in the next few hours she's fired" Michael said with a ugly smile plastered on his face,
Lily please you better show up...
