33. New York.

" Guys it's been 4 days already we can't just keep holding up." Jesse said impatiently. " Yeah you're right."
Maddox said and Bella just nodded in agreement.

" Okay Fine I'll go, But I'm not going by myself." Bella said slowly.
" Fair enough." Jesse replied.
" I think Bella, You and Jesse should go and Maddox and I will stay here In case she comes back."
Mr Russell explained. Everyone looked at him weirdly.
It's usually the adult who volunteers themselves, Not volunteering the kids.

" What?" He asked frowning. "Uh..Nothing." Jesse responded a little to quickly. " Uh I guess that sounds good." Bella interjected she looked at Jesse for confirmation.
" Uh Yeah sounds good." Jesse nodded. " When are the flights out?" Bella asked sounding partly unsure.

" The nexts flight to New York is tomorrow." Mr Russell responded looking down at his phone.
" Tomorrow?!" Jesse and Bella yelled I unison.
" Yes tomorrow." Mr Russell said raising an eyebrow.

" Uh I don't know if I can go on such short notice. I mean my dad doesn't even know what I'm doing! And he is never going to let me go to New York with everything going on with my mom." Bella said defeatedly.

" Yeah we shouldn't put her at high risk right now." Jesse said looking between her and Maddox.

" Yeah I agree but they want the person who found it. That can't be us it's got to be Bella." Maddox said quietly.
" He's Right." Bella said softly.
" It's gotta be me."

" Dad look, I think you are
overthinking this." I said impatiently.
" So let me get this straight. You and your 'Friends' have conducted a search for your friend Lily and got yourself in danger left and right, Going into the woods. Finding a piece of evidence and now you have to travel to New York to receive some news." He said taking a breath. " Did I get all of that or is there more?
" Yep you got it all." I said quietly.
He paused for a moment looking at me. I guess secretly hoping I'd come to my senses before he said no. When I didn't say anything he broke the silence. " No! What are you thinking absolutely not!" He said loudly. I looked up realizing I had been looking down at my hands for the last couple minutes.
" But Dad-" I started But was cut off in an instant. " There is no discussion, I said No." He said cutting me off. " Fine, Dad." I said grabbing my backpack and running upstairs. I only had one thought. I'm going.
