Broken.

21. Ditching.

I woke up the next morning pacing around my room.
Gosh I could I have been so flipping stupid!
I was basically yelling and kicking myself all morning.
Well somehow I gotta get a ride to school.
I walked over to my bedside table and grabbed my phone.
I heard a tapping at my window as I started to dial Jesse's number.
For a minute I stood frozen.
Because of all that has been happening and my obsessive love of horror movies I was severely frightened.
I slowly walked to my window and started lifting the window up.
I shut my eyes tightly before hitching it up fully and swinging the latch.
" Hey Bells " Jesse said smiling.
" Jesse you can never! Ever! Knock on someone's window at like 6:30 especially with everything happening!" I said seriously.
"Sorry but no one opened the door I like rang the doorbell twice."
" Oh sorry about that." I said smiling cheesily.
" Well do you need a ride?" He asked smiling.
" Well some people say giving your car to someone in the night especially someone random on the road your probably not getting it back so..Yes please!"
" It's either you or my Dad" I said laughing.
" Well come on then!" He said gesturing to the window.
" Your Dad is cool with you going out the window at 6:45 with someone he's never met right?" Jesse said smiling lopsidedly.
" Well I leave before he wakes up usually so what he doesn't know can't kill him." I said shrugging.
" Okay then..Then after you Milady.." He said gesturing towards the window again. " Why thank you kind Sir" I said doing a fake curtesy.

" Okay so I know this is a terrible question But.. Do you wanna ditch?" Jesse asked as we sat down in the car.
" Yeah what about we drive around town again?" I said serious.
We sat in silence for a few moments. It wasn't awkward silence just quiet.
" You don't think she ran away do you?" Jesse asked softly.
" No I don't. I think something happened and we need to get to the bottom of it." I said confidently.
Jesse looks ahead. " Wanna call Maddox?" I asked smiling fully know he wanted his best guy friend along.
"Yes!" He responded very quickly.
So I called Maddox and unfortunately it went straight to Voicemail.
So I left a message telling him to meet us at the coffee shop downtown at 8.
We still had an hour before meeting with Maddox So I pulled out my phone and started constructing an information page.
I wrote Lily's name in her favorite Bold font called Langdon.
It's kind of a regular bold text with a light shadow behind it.
In the limited time I've known Lily so far I've learned a few interesting things about her.. Such as the font, Lily is a very organized and clean, So everything is clear and neat, such as her class notes, They are always bright & colorful with her assortment of 200 gel pens. And she always hand draws her favorite font
Langdon, At the top of all her notes.
I keep writing questions into the file such as...
Where was she seen last?...Her house.
Who saw her last? Jesse.
Did she seem upset? No.
Did she say anything about leaving? No.
Did her parents see her in the house? No.
As I write I feel this may be a deeper mystery then I thought.
