"Maddox what in the heck! You almost gave me a heart attack!" I yelled. " You were scared!? You literally just freaking punched me!" Maddox whisper yelled back. I looked over at him to see I had indeed punched him square in the jaw. " Sorry" I said sheepishly. " I was freaked out okay!" I said back quickly.
" What are you doing here?" I asked him. " Uh I just got to um school early let's all" Maddox replied back stuttering.
" I don't believe you at all" I replied back. " But we don't have time for a story and you can tell me later but we have a file to look at" I said holding the file out to Maddox.
"Who is Grace Russell?" Maddox asked opening the file. " My question exactly."I replied.
"Maddox hurry up!" I yelled as we raced out of school. " We had only 5 minutes before people started arriving. Maddox and I found very interesting and weird information in that school file. One thing was for certain. We Absolutely Had To Confront Mr & Mrs Russell.
Maddox and I ran down onto Harvard street and off onto Hendricks Lane.
So what if we miss school? This was like way more important.
I don't like to miss school I almost have a perfect A plus grade score. Not as great as Lily's, but decent.
" I don't really know how to like confront them" Maddox said dramatically. " Oh my gosh Maddox, You go like this.. Dis you name your daughter Grace and change her name? What other secrets are you hiding?"
I said seriously.
" You know what? I think I might let you do the confrontation" Maddox said smiling.
" That's probably a good idea." I said patting him on the back.
" Don't think I forgot about the question" I said smirking.
" Can we pretend you did forget" Maddox asked sheepishly.
"Dream on." I responded smirking.
When we finally got to the Russell's house we were really out of breath.
"I didn't realize I was so out of shape" I said playfully. " Yeah Neither did I" Maddox responded grinning.
" I guess that's the cost of not being on the football team" Maddox joked.
We laughed for a minute almost like trying to forget what we were about to do.
" Mr Russell we have a few questions for you and your wife" I said as Mr Russell opened the front door.
" Okay, Come on in" He said gesturing inside. "Millicent! We have guests" Mr Russell called up the stairs.
" Who is it?" Mrs Russell yelled down the stairs. " Your Favorite Children" John Russell yelled back up the stairs winking at us.
