8. Quite A Surprising Day.

I was working a double shift at my dads restaurant.
It was a 24 hour diner that had two employees plus Me, so what do you expect?
I walked back towards the kitchen.
Usually I was a waiter but sometimes like today when the cook took a day off I usually help cook with my Dad.   I walked over to the grill and started flipping hamburgers.  Don't get me wrong I know I kind of sound whiney or whatever but I mean I really do love helping my Dad but sometimes I just wanna do Friday night things that most teenagers get to do.
But I'd do anything to help my Dad and this restaurant is his pride and joy.
Trust me he is not rich but he has quite enough to live without the restaurant.
But if it makes my dad happy then I will happily oblige.  It was officially 12:00 Am and I was exhausted. I had been working since 3:00 after school.   Well at least tomorrow is Saturday!

I had been up since 8:00 Am. How?
That was the same question I was asking myself.
Especially since I worked till 2:30 last night.
Let's just just say I was very bored.
I called Maddox and asked if he wanted to meet me at Wendy's. that was literally the only fast food restaurant in Hillcrest.  Thank gosh He said yes or I would probably die of boredom.

It was around 1:00 when we actually met up.
So we say in a booth.
" so what are you gonna get?" I asked looking at the menu.    " I've actually never been here "  he said looking at the menu.  " What?!" I asked looking up from my menu. " Seriously?" I asked.
" Uh yeah" he said.
We looked at the menu for a few more minutes before Maddox started staring over my shoulder.
" is that-" He started.
I looked over my shoulder " Lily??" I asked.
She heard us and walked over.
"Hey guys! What's up?" she asked smiling.
" Hey Lily since when have you worked here?" I asked basically dropping my jaw.
Lily's parents are basically Rich. Why is she working?
" Uh so why are you working here?" I asked.
" well I want to be able to earn money not just live off of my parents forever" she said crossing her arms.   " it's also a plus that Bella works here too."
" What? Bella works here too?" I asked.
Well this is quite a surprising day.
" I'll go get her" she said as if I didn't Belive her.
A few minutes later she came back with Bella.
"Hey guys!" she said waving,
We said hi and waved back there were a few moments of silence and then I just had to ask...
" so does this mean we get free food?" I asked smiling.   " you wish" Lily said laughing

Hey guys! I hope you liked this chapter! It was a little different and kind of hard because I was writing from a male perspective which I have never really done before. So I hope it wasn't too Bad! I try to write a chapter everyday so stay turned for tomorrow!♥️ C
