*Katherine's POV*
'Yes I'm hyped that they're here. But I'm not going to spend my whole lunch period discussing Harry's hair!' I repeated to Lisa and Richelle. They looked at me as if I said I wanted to streak down into the principal's office.
'Girl are you sure you understand it's ONE DIRECTION we're talking about?' Richelle asked me.
'Yes and now we're talking about how James is walking over here right now, and wouldn't appreciate your fangirling over One Direction,' I replied smugly, smirking. 1 point for Katherine, 0 for Richelle.
Richelle just smiled at me as her boyfriend approached. He was into the same stuff as her, so you could see it in his style of dressing.
'Hey babe. Isn't Harry's hair just so luscious,' she whispered into his ear, but loud enough for us to hear.
James rolled his eyes at her and said, 'Still going on with that?'
Richelle turned to me and said as if she was facing James, 'Just proving Kat wrong over here that you don't care if I talk about 1D.'
Damn. 1 point for Katherine. 1 point for Richelle.
I suddenly realized that Lisa hasn't talked since James arrived. In fact it seems as if no one was talking. I looked around the cafeteria and followed the gaze of Lisa. Well that would explain it. One Direction stood on the line for food, and everyone was just creepily staring at them. Poor boys. I would feel very awkward in their position.
Figuring I was done with all the school's gawking I grabbed Lisa and turned to get Richelle, but she was gone along with James. Probably to go make out in an abandoned classroom. I shrugged dragging Lisa outside, who was still staring the the boys. As I turned around to snap her out of it, I caught the boys looking at us, or precisely me. Especially that curly haired, dimple faced cutie pie Harry. Wait, what? What did I just think? Must be the heat.
Finally dragging my eyes from Harry, I snapped my fingers in front of Lisa catching her attention, and we left the cafeteria for the remainder of the period.
*Niall's POV*
I stared as that beautiful brunette left with her pretty blonde friend out of the cafeteria. The brunette was absolutely stunning. I could see all the guys were checking her out, especially Harry. Even the boys with girlfriends were giving her a up and down. Couldn't blame them. She was seriously something to look at.
But what caught my attention wasn't her looks. It was her actions. Instead of gawking at me and the lads like everyone else including her friend, she just looked and went back to whatever she was doing. Then she got up to leave. And I realized Harry was experiencing the same thing as me. He was looking at her like she was some mysterious creature. In this school it seemed as if she was.
Then it hit me. Harry liked her. He's going to do everything in his might to get her to go out with him. I had no chance. A sort of pang shot through me at that thought. Of course Harry would get the perfect girl. He always did. I realized jealousy was what shot through me.
We were now sitting at a table eating our food, or rather picking at our food because everyone continued to stare. I glanced up at Harry and he looked absolutely dazed. Yup he was head over heels for this girl. He never got like this, not since Kaitlin. All the girls between her and now were just flings to get by. This was different. I couldn't just take the girl, or rather try. He deserved someone good. He would get her anyways. At least I can try for the blondie. She was beautiful also. Just not as much as the brunette.
*Harry's POV*
I was awestruck. That brunette was just absolutely gorgeous. Not a single girl I saw in this school looked as beautiful as her. But the fact that she didn't gawk or point at me got me hooked. She was different; I could tell. And I had to meet her. And maybe get Niall to meet he blonde friend because he was eyeing the brunette the whole time.
A fluttery feeling passed through my stomach. I haven't felt this since Kaitlin. No. I can't think of her. Her limp body in my arms. Me being too late to save her. NO! I forced myself to think of happy things. Think of food and sleep and all my fans. There we go. I promised I would stop thinking about Kait. Time to keep that promise.
