Chapter 14- A Bit Of Love-Hate

*Zayn's POV*

When I saw the picture, I was just so pissed. I had already convinced Perrie that nothing was going on between Katherine and I. This picture showed something else. The fact that Perrie hadn't even called me yet showed just how angry she was.

I had tweeted at least 20 times already that I was just comforting Katherine, and Perrie and I were still together. But the rumors kept running rampant.

Then I saw one tweet from Perrie in response to one of my 'We are still together!' tweets.

Perrie Edwards @PerrieEdwards: @zaynmalik Not for long.

My heart shattered. Did she really mean that? I ran back to my bedroom and grabbed my phone. I called Perrie and waited for her to pick up.

'Zayn. I don't want to speak to you,' I heard a voice say, and it sounded as if Perrie was crying.

'Listen. I was just--' I began.

'Comforting her, I know. And we are still together. I was on twitter,' she said bitterly.

'Perrie, love, there is NOTHING going on! I swear! She was just in need of comfort and I was there--' I was once again cut off.

'Well why were you there with her alone in the first place? I heard that she ran away crying and you went to talk to her. Why did you?! You have a girlfriend! You didn't see Liam and Louis chase after her! Why did you? Why not let the single guys follow that tramp!' she yelled.

My anger boiled. 'One, she's not a tramp. She is the sweetest girl I know. Two, Harry was the one who caused her to run away, and Niall likes another girl. Three, Liam had to talk to Simon since Katherine refused the job, and Louis wanted to talk to Harry. So I went knowing no one else would!' I yelled back.

'Oh, now you're defending her! And did they tell you all these things they were planning to do before you ran?'she asked.

'No, but I knew that those things would happen. And yes, I'm defending her, because she doesn't deserve being called all these names,' I said, fuming, angry tears forming.

'You didn't know! You just wanted to go chase after the first girl you could get! Why NOT go after a poor helpless girl? And she does deserve it! She's trying to steal you from me!' she yelled, crying again.

'If she wanted me why the hell is she dating Harry? Why the hell does she consider you one of her idols if she hates you and wants to steal me? Why are you acting so immature?' I yelled, beyond caring that she was crying more.

Saying Katherine deserves being called a slut, ugly, a bitch, a tramp, and all those other names without even knowing what she has been through just pushed me over the edge. In fact, I couldn't care less if Perrie broke up with me. I was tired of her jealous nature.

'You care about her more than me! You defend her without hesitation! When people attack me about being your girlfriend, you don't do anything!' she yelled.

'I do defend you, actually. How many times have I tweeted to leave you alone and at interviews told the interviewer that my true fans should accept you? A lot of damn times! I'm tired of you acting like a victim! You knew the hate you would get from my fans! Yet you still wanted to be my girlfriend!' I said.

'You know what? I don't need this shit. I could get someone 10 times better than you who doesn't go running after a whore!' she yelled at me.

'Fine! Go get that guy. We're through. Even though Katherine is just my friend, I would prefer a friendship with her over a relationship with you any day! She doesn't judge other people because of stupid, false things!' I said with a snarl.
