*Katherine's POV*

'I can't do it,' I said, looking at Harry and shaking.

'Yes, you can love. We wouldn't be making you do it if you couldn't,' Harry said reassuringly.

'But what if he tries something? What if he hurts me?' I said frantically.

'Listen. Katherine, the police are all there, both outside and inside. Me and the boys will be there, too. Don't worry. You'll be perfectly safe,' Harry said reassuringly.

'But what if he has a gun? He could have a huge shoot out, and what if you guys get caught in the fire?'

'Love, calm down. Everything will be just fine,' he told me as he wrapped his arms around me in a hug.

I inhaled his scent. If there was anything I loved, it was Harry's scent.

I smiled weakly at him. 'Okay,' I whispered.

'Now get dressed and we'll drive you over to the restaurant. You'll do fine,' he said kissing my forehead before leaving the room.

I heard the door slam shut, and already yearned for Harry to be here with me. I was going to have a panick attack soon if I didn't hurry up and just get this over with. I couldn't stop worrying about all those what-ifs, though. What if he hurt me? What if he hurt the boys? What if he hurt Harry?

That last one made my eyes swim with tears. I couldn't lose Harry. I had to do this.

I took a deep breath and masked my fear. I looked at the mirror, and I saw a girl whose face looked calm, but the rigidity of her body said otherwise. My muscles were too tense. I would have to take a hot shower for that.

I checked the time. 6:45. We were leaving at 7:30 to ensure we got there on time, and in case I needed a few minutes before going in. I took another deep breath and began my preparation.

'Love, you'll do great,' Harry said as I prepared to enter the restaurant.

He pulled me into a hug and I leaned against him. I was doing this for Harry, I reminded myself. He didn't need to worry about a creepy guy following me around.

'See you guys,' I said as a farewell, wishing they would stay home.

They wouldn't hear of it. When I told them they should stay at the hotel, they all had equal masks of shock and protest. After a few minutes of bickering, I gave up. I felt horrible. If anything happened to anyone, it would be because of me.

I walked into the restaurant, said the name for my reservation, and I was led to a table near the back. I looked around as we walked. I couldn't see who was a police officer, and who was a normal customer. I guess that was good, but also bad. Good, because I bet my stalker wouldn't recognize them. But also bad, because I wouldn't know who to signal about anything that went wrong.

Just as I was about to run out the restaurant to the safety of the boys, I saw the weathered police officer, at the table next to mine. He winked at me before turning back to an equally weathered lady, who smiled slyly at me. I guess Mrs. Police Officer was in on this too.

There was no one at my table. I was alone, and I guess 'Michael' was running late.

Maybe he chickened out, I thought. But then a very handsome lad, probably a couple of years older than me, walked up to me.

'Hi, I'm Michael,' he said, extending a hand.

I stood up and shook it gently. In my flats (I wore them in case I needed to run), I was about his height. He was actually only about an inch taller than me. Huh.
