Few Years back
"You can't even took care of the kids properly!" I heard my dad shouted. For the past few months, my parents would be arguing. Dad would come home late and mum would go all nuts at him. I quietly crawl to my twin sister, Ariana who is crying hysterically at the corner.
"You can't expect me to be the only one doing the work Harris!" Mum shouted. Soon I heard banging and crashing. I hug Ariana closer to me. I want to cry so badly But I can't. I need to be strong for Ariana.
"Can we go look at them?" Ariana croaked. I nod and we silently walk down the stairs. We saw the vase shattered and some table flipped. We look around and saw mum sitting on the couch with her head buried in her hands.
Soon dad walk down the stairs carrying few bags. "Daddy, Where are you going?" I asked quietly. Dad look at me and Ariana, his eyes softened. He walk towards us and knelt down in front of us, "Honey. I'm going to go okay. You stay here with mummy." he told us. Well ariana is a mama girl. Me? I'm a daddy's girl.
"Will you come back?"
He look at me sadly and shook his head, "Things you don't understand aren't working out between me and mummy. Take care okay?" he said and kiss our forehead.
"Daddy, don't go." I said. "Please don't leave me." I pleaded. But he didn't listen he just walk out the door. I walk after him calling out to him. But it's too late, he already drove off. Tears finally leaked out, "Daddy! Daddy!" I cried out.
I feel arms around me and carried me, "Shh baby shh." I heard mum said. She turn me around and rubbed my back, "Its okay baby. We'll be okay." she promised I buried my face in her neck and cried.
"But daddy promise he won't leave me." I said. My voice cracking. Mum just rubbed my back and whispers sweet nothing in my ear.
Soon, I fell into a deep sleep in mum's arm with tears pooling in my eyes.
