Chapter 13

"How's school this week indigo?" I heard Ryder ask as he walk behind the bar and beside me. I look at him and raise my eyebrow, "Indigo?"

He chuckle, "Ya I no idea why I called you that." he said as he furrowed his eyebrows and scratch his forehead. I laugh and shook my head at his silliness. Ryder and I have been getting a lot closer this past weeks. He can be very playful but cold and hard guy when he needed to. "Hello? Adriana? You Still there or did some alien took over your body?" I heard Ryder ask as he waving his hand in front of my face.

I blink at just stare at him blankly. I smack his head, "Dude. You could really be dumb sometimes." I stated and he just rolled his eyes at me.

"Not my fault that you look like you possessed by some alien or something." he mumbled before he walk away to his own section of the counter. My lips twitch to a smile.

I have no idea but I may or may not have a tinie tiny bit crush on Ryder.

For the past hours is like the usual. Boys trying to get in my pants using some lame pick-up line, serious who does that? Some girls glaring at me and being rude. So you can say that I'm really happy to finally end my shift. I said my goodbye to Reece before leaving the club from the backdoor. Reece and I are quite close since I hang out with Ryder a lot this past few days.

"You're leaving me without a goodbye kiss?" and speaking of the devil, here he comes. I groaned and turn around. "I almost got in my car." I grumbled which I receive chuckle from him.

"Come on baby girl, just a goodbye kiss." He stated. His eyes shine with mischievous and I narrowed my eyes at him, "You've never ask for a goodbye kiss before." I said, "Why now?"

He shrug and just look at me, waiting.

I raised my eyebrows at him and he just stare at me. I groaned and throw my hands in the air, "Fine." I said. I slowly stood on my tippy toes and lightly brush my lips with him but of course Ryder had different idea cause one of his hands went to the back of my neck and pressed his lips to mine.His lips are warm and soft. I could feel my back hit the side of my car, I stand on my feet, not wanting to stood on my tippy toes anymore which causes Ryder to bend his neck a little.

After what feels like hours, he pulled away and rest his forehead on mine. He grinned at me and I only quirk on of my eyebrow at him.

"Bye Adri." he said lowly and softly peck my lips and walk away, leaving me standing there dumfounded. When he get to the door he look at me and wink.

I shook my head and got in my car and start to drive home.

"So how's work?" Diana asked me. It's dinner and usually it's kind of noisy but today somehow, it's in awkward silence.

I look up and look at her, "Eh? It was fine." I said simply.

Ariana snort, "I beg to differ."

I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at her. Dad look at us amused, "So Ariana." he stared. "How's Chicago?" he asked.

Ariana beamed at him excitedly, "Chicago is great actually. Mum got promotion few weeks back and she would still got home early. School finally recognised me as the tumblr girl which make me quite popular. Though, some girls hate me." she rambled which I just decide to tune her out and stare blankly at my plate.

"Adriana Marie Byron! Did you hear me?" I heard Dad voice boom from across the room causing everyone to flinched but I just look up at him, bored.

"You know I hate my middle name." I mumbled.

Jack snickered before covering it up with a cough. I rolled my eyes and scoff. "Whatever. I asked you a question." dad said, his voice is firm.
