Fix my broken heart

Chapter 15

School is boring. I got detention for being rude and sleep in class. Well excuse me for trying to get my beauty sleep. Now's lunch time and I having a hard time to keep my eyes open. God, I am so tired.

Maybe you should have sleep earlier last night than screaming at the tv while watching TVD, a voice snapped at me. And yes, I have this conscious in me that I feel like I need to go to the doctor and check my mental health.

"Adri? Oi! Adriana?" a finger snapped in my face and brought me back to reality. I look at Chris and scowl, "Leave me alone." I whined. Georgie laugh at me, "How come you're so tired? I thought you turn in early last night?"

I shook my head, "Ariana called. She can't sleep and she need someone."

"Is she okay?" Jack asked concern. Well that's new. Jack hardly care about a girl. I raised my eyebrow at him, "Why? Are you gonna go Chicago and comfort her?" I teased. Jack only look down and his cheeks turn slightly pink.

I gasp, "Don't tell me my step brother has a crush on my twin sister?" I exclaimed dramatically causing everyone to laugh and Jack turning a deep shade of red and everyone to laugh harder.

The rest of the day was boring and soon, I'm already in my room actually doing my homework. "Is my eyes deceiving me or is Adriana really doing her homework?" I heard Jack say from the door. I turn and scowl at him.

"Can I help you Jack?"

He grinned at me and sit on my bed. "I like Ariana." he admitted. I smirk, "Took you long enough." I said and rolled my eyes.

"So what's the problem?" I asked.

He look at me nervously, "Can I come with you to Chicago every weekend?" he asked me quietly. I grinned, "Sure. As long as dad and Diana let you."

"Adri! Reece want to see you." Some guy who work with me I think his name is Blake or something like that. I nod my head and head over to Reece's office.

I knock on the door and slowly turn the knob and open it, peeking my head inside. "You want to see me?" I asked. Reece is sitting behind the desk and I saw two buff guys, one is in a black suit while the other is wearing a tshirt with leather jacket and khaki pants.

Reece look up, "Ah yes Adri. Come in."

I walk in and close the door behind me. "Adri, meet my friends Robert and Jake. Guys, this is Adriana." Reece introducing us. Robert is wearing the black suit and his hair is gelled back. He had a few piercing and I bet he has tattoo all over. He had a very piercing green eyes, he almost intimidating me but then I don't care. Jake, well Jake is definitely good looking with his messy dark brown hair and dark brown almost black eyes. I could see tattoo peeking out at his hands.

I crossed my arms and quirk my eyebrow. "Mafia guys aren't ya?" I asked casually. Reece and Robert eyes widen while Jake just smirk at me.

"How'd you know?" Robert asked. His voice is slightly rough. I shrug, "Your appearance. It's too obvious."

"You could be wrong." Jake retorted. His eyes shine with amusement. I grinned, "But I'm right aren't I?" I stated. Jake and Robert nod their head and look at Reece, "I can tell now why you're hired this girl." he said lowly to Reece.

I raised my eyebrow, "By the way why do you want to see me again?" I asked politely. Reece grinned at me, "Ah. Ryder is sick at home. And I need you to go my house and check on that guy. Last I check, he almost set the kitchen on fire." he said as he shake his head.

"Ya, sure. Text me the address. I'm gonna go get my stuff."

"Good luck taking care of my brother!" I heard Reece shouted after me. I close the door and make my way to the room where it's only for the stuff workers/employee only.

Few hours of driving, I finally get to the place and let me tell you this. The house is soooooo big and pretty. I walk up the steps and ring the bell.

The door open few minutes later with a very zombie looking Ryder. "Woah, who died in your hair?" I joked. Ryder look at me wide eyes and look around. I rolled my eyes, "Reece send me here to look after you." I told him. "Can I come in now?"

He nod his head and move aside. I walk past him and look around. There's a family portrait at the very end of the wall. Ryder cleared his throat, "Come on." he said and grabbed my arm to drag me down the hallway and in the game room. I whistle, "Sweet."

He chuckle, "Ya I've been spending my time here." he stated and I turn to look at him, "No. You need to rest." I told him sternly. "Go bring me to your room." I said. He grumbled and lead me away to what I'm guessing his room.

"Damn, your body hot." I exclaimed when I touch his forehead. Ryder smirk at me, "I knew you always had a thing for me."

I scowl and smack his head. "I was talking about your temperature."

Ryder shrug and bury his head in his pillow. I rolled my eyes and went to the toilet to get out the small towel and a hot water. I turn Ryder around and put the towel on his forehead. He is already sleeping. After an hour of changing the towel to keep his temperature down, I'm already exhausted. My phone buzzed in my pocket, I reach it out and see a message from Reece, 'Will be back home late. You can sleep in the guest room if you want -R' I groaned and decide to text Diana to tell her that I won't be able to come back home.

I walk to the couch and lay down. I shift around for awhile before finally closing my eyes and sleep instantly consume me.
