"I didn't take you as a guy with this kind of scenery." I stated as Ryder and I strolling down the beach near his place. After watching a movie, he told me he wanted to bring me somewhere and I just agree anyway.

"Never judge me Adri." he said.

I laugh and just look at the way the waves crashing the shore and how my feet feel so soft against the sand. I didn't know why but I like spending time like this with Ryder. Its always feel perfect. God, I become such a girl.

"Hey I need to ask you something." he told me as he grab my hand and bring me to a stop. I look at him questioningly and he look kind of nervous?

"Yeah?" I asked slowly.

He breath out and scratch at the back of his neck, "What are we?" he asked. I look at him confused. He sigh, "I mean are we friends or more than that? I just assume we're together but I don't want see you running away to some other guy." he said shyly.

I chuckle and stand closer to him. "I'm anything you want me to be babe."

He grinned at me, "In that case, you're mine and mine only." he stated sternly before he pull me closer to him and smashed his lips to mine. I smile through the kiss and tried to pull away but one of his hands went to the back of my neck and make my head stay in place.

He nibble on my lips making me let out a small moan. Soon, our simple kiss turn to a passionate kiss. His arm went around my waist and bring me closer while his other hand tangle in my hair like how my hands are tangle in his hair. I pull away needing air and he rest his forehead with mine and smile at me before he peck my lips one more time and continue strolling while our fingers intertwined.

Ryder send me back home after dinner cause that has called and demand for me to get back home immediately. "I'll see you during the weekend or when your shift is up?" He asked as he wrap his arms around my waist bringing me closer. I shrug, "Guess so."

I try to move out of his hold but he pull me back and kiss my lips. My hands instantly went around his neck and tangle in his hair while his arms around my waist and the other is at the back of my head, slightly tilt my head back.

He grinned and peck my lips before he kiss my forehead and let me step out of his embrace. I smile widely at him before turning around and walk towards the door that has already a smirking Ariana standing at the doorway. I groaned. This gonna be a long night.

Dad has made me sit down in the kitchen while he answered his phone calls. Its been hours I've been sitting here. Is he forgetting me or something?

"Adriana, I don't understand you anymore." I heard him say before he sit across from me.

I quirk my eyebrow, "Do you ever understand me anyway?" He narrowed his eyes at me. "Don't you turn the subject on me young lady. Why are you doing this to yourself?" he snapped.

I throw my hands in the air, "Do what dad?" I exclaimed. "I just ditched school. What's the big deal?" I asked exasperated.

"That's the thing. You're the daughter of Harris Byron. What you get for you GPA will determine your future. I don't want any of my children had a bad future." he yelled. I stare at him in disbelief.

"Its not always about you dad!" I shouted. "Did you ever once consider to ever mend our broken relationship as a father and daughter?" I asked.

He glare at me, "What's the point of that if you don't bother trying to be a better daughter of mine." He hissed. Well, that's hurt.

I laugh humorously, "Well done dad." I said nonchalantly. "You just won an award for being the worst father ever." I stated with a lace of venom and sarcasm. But for once, I feel like someone stabbed on my heart repeatedly and I let my guards down.
