Chapter 29

"What do you mean they're looking for me?" I asked Jake.

He groaned, "Means they're planning on killing you Adriana. You need to be safe." he told me. I leaned back in my chair and think about it.

Jake somehow had heard somewhere that Robert is plotting a revenge on me for who knows what. He already had a few people to join him.

"What are we gonna do then?" I asked him nonchalantly.

"We have to come up with our own plan. Lucky for you, I already got hold of boss and Angelo." He smirk. Rolling my eyes, I huffed and ran my hand through my hair. "I'm gonna die."

"Stop being so dramatic. Last I check, you're the one who kick his ass." he joked. I laugh at him. We got home a little after that. When I walk in my apartment, Chris and Ryder are shouting over the tv. Playing some game from the Xbox.

"Hey guys." I greeted and just went straight to my room.

I strip out of my clothes and changed into my spaghetti top and short shorts. When I turn around I saw Ryder stood there, gawking at me and I knew then that he saw me changed. My lips turn to a smirk.

"Like what you see Ryder?" I teased.

That seem to snap him out of it. His ears and neck turn slightly red. I gasped, "Are you blushing Ryder?"

"Shut up!" He whined.

I laugh and just then my phone is ringing. I look at the caller ID, it's Jake. I answered it. "You think you could make it tomorrow for the plan?" he asked, cutting to the point.

"Well hello to you too." I retorted sarcastic.

He chuckle, "So can you?" I sigh and mutter a 'yes'. "Okay then, see you tomorrow." and with that he hang up. I sat on my bed and sigh.

"Hey what's wrong?" Ryder asked me softly.

"Robert is plotting a revenge on me." I mumbled. Ryder tensed beside me and I know anger start to consume him. "Look don't worry. I'm sorting this out tomorrow with the gangs." I said, trying to comfort him but obviously I did nothing. The minute he heard that, his eyes snapped to mine and I could see anger swirl around his eyes.

"Like hell You will." he snapped, "You're not sorting this out with them alone. I'm coming with you." he stated firmly leaving no argument.

I groaned, "I can't drag you into this mess Ryder. I've done enough damage for you." I said calmly.

"I'm coming with you and that's final." he said with authority in his voice.

Anger suddenly is all I felt. Not angry at him, Robert or anyone for that matter. I'm mad at myself. "I'm not bringing you down with me. I'm not gonna argue with you. Cause if you insist on coming, this will be the last you hear from me." I warned before shoving him out the door and slammed the door in his face.

"Adriana! Open the door this instant!" he demanded while knocking madly on my door.

I ignored him and just turn the lights out and go to bed. Only sleep doesn't take over. I spent the night thinking of all this. What happened when everything is over? Will everyone be happy? Will anyone get hurt Because of me? But most importantly what will happened between my family and I? Ryder and me? This is all really overwhelming.

"Going somewhere?" Ryder spat bitterly. I scowl at him and grabbed some toast from Chris's plate. "Hey that's mine!" He exclaimed.

I stuck my tongue out and him and bite the toast. "You know Ry, if you don't like being here then you should go." I snapped after getting tired of him glaring daggers at me.
