Chapter 19

"How long have you been like this Adriana." Mrs Kathryn asked me. I look at her and sigh, "Recently after I found out about my mother's cancer." I said truthfully without any emotion. I hid my emotion the minute I step in the building.

"Did you do anything to harm yourself?"

"No."

But she didn't look convince so I raise my eyebrow, "Want me to strip so I can prove to you?"

She shook her head and write something. "Have you ever consider on killing yourself or anything that may harm your life?" she questioned. I sigh in frustration, "Look. There's nothing wrong about me. Can I leave now Mrs Kathryn?" I snapped.

She sigh and rubbed her temple, "Okay. Come again if you're ready to talk."

I just got up and walk out the room and walk to the lift to the parking lot. I got on my bike and drive to the club where I'll be meeting Angelo.

"Adriana! Its been so long since I last saw you." Reece exclaimed the minute I walked in. I grinned at him, "Sorry for not being able to work here again." I said. He wave his hand, "That's cool kiddo. Angelo is over there. He's waiting for you." I nod my head and thank him before walking to Angelo.

I saw Ryder and he well he look happy. Though the minute we did eye contact, his eyes would turn cold and he would just glare at me. Its hurting me seeing he treat me like this but again, it's my fault for not returning his calls or text.

"Hey." I greeted Angelo.

I sat across from him and look at him to see He already smirking at me. I rolled my eye, "Did I have to pay or did I get if for free?" I asked.

"Nah, the boss miss you. So he let you have this for free. Though, the next time you need you'll have to pay." he stated quietly. I nod my head and he slide his bag towards me. "Its all inside. Can last you for two months I guess."

"Thank you."

"What happened Adri? You're doing good on keeping yourself away from all this shit?" he asked. All trace of playful and teasing are gone and he's all concern and worried.

I smile, "Things aren't perfect. But again when is it ever was?" I said bitterly.

"Hey, I'm here for you."

"I know." I whispered.

Ryder walk up and put the glass I'm guessing what Angelo asked for and look at me. "Oh look who decide to show up after weeks of disappearing." he spat.

I just look at him, bored. "I'm tired of arguing. So Angelo, I'll call you soon okay. Thanks again." I said and walk out the door quickly with the bag in my hand.

I heard footsteps behind me but I ignore it. "Oh so you're gonna walk out again?" I heard he said. "What is it with you and being MIA?" he shouted.

I stopped dead in my tracks and turn to him, "I went back to Chicago. There I said it. Now get off my back." I said calmly.

He laugh humorously, "And you don't have the decency to reply my text or answer my calls?"

"Why? I'm not even your girlfriend or anything for god's sake!" I exclaimed.

"You're not. But you had me worried for weeks Adriana!"

"Then stop worrying." I said and turn around to walk away. But before I could make it far, he grabbed my arm and turn me around. "I can't have people walk away from me again Adri. I'm just scared." he murmured.

I look into his eyes and almost got lost in it. "I won't walk away Ry. I just need time alone." I whisper.

He shook his head, "Don't leave."

"I won't."

"Then kiss me."

I look into his eyes and see how his eyes twinkle and how he keep glancing to my lips. I smile and pressed my lips to his. My hands already tangle in his hair. He pull me closer and one of his arm snake around my waist while the other is tangle in my hair. I smile through the kiss and pull away. "Now can I go?" I asked. He grinned, peck my lips and let me walk away. His face light up like a boy during Christmas. I shook my head and kiss his cheeks before getting on my bike.

"Where were you?" dad said as soon as I stumbled in the door. I already had my fair share of having the drug and vodka, so I'm kind of high. "In heaven dad. Shhh." I mumbled and try to walk up the stairs.

"Adri are you high?"

"No dad. I'm still here on the ground with you." I retorted. God, why is there so many noises. "Shut up, you stupid noise." I mumbled.

"Oh look, I see stars." I mutter before I collapse on the ground and all I could hear is people shouting my name. God, lower it down. My eardrums. All I see is dad's face before I black out.

I groaned and rolled over. Its been a long time since I last got this bad hangover. I sat up and grumbled while holding my head. I saw a glass of water and aspirin on my nightstand. I grabbed the note, 'Here's your aspirin for your hangover. -D' I grunted and took the pills and swallow it down before drinking my water.

I walk to my bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face. I look in the mirror, my eyes are bloodshot and my hair is really messy and all tangled. I groaned and hop in the shower and took a long hot shower. After I've done washing my hair and body with my lavender scent, I wrap the towel around me and left my bathroom to go choose my outfit.

I changed into my floral bustier top with cardigan and my shorts. I towel dry my hair and brush it out of the tangle. I put on my lace up boots and grab my backpack and left my room. I shouldn't really get high when it's a school day.

I walk up to the cafeteria with Ariana clung to my side. No seriously, she's on this chatty mood today and she's really annoying but I'm glad she's finally being herself. Back to the normal Ariana. "Hey guys." she greeted cheerfully and took her sit beside Jack who looking at her admiring. I groaned and plopped down beside Chris who looking at me amused.

"Don't." I warned. "I'm not in the mood." I told Chris just as he open his mouth to say something. He grumbled something under his breath before he eat his sandwich.

Most of them were talking and laughing but I couldn't find myself talk to them or something like that. "Hey Adri, stop zoning out." Layla said as she smirk at me. I rolled my eyes, "Whatever. I'm gonna go." I said as I got up from my sit and walk out the cafeteria.

The school bell ring signalling its the end of school, I grabbed my backpack and grumpily walk out the classroom. The whole cafeteria I spent my time in the library, sleeping.

When I walk out the school front doors, my face light up and I instantly ran up to the arms of Ryder who's been standing near my car with all his glory. I throw my hands around his neck and buried my face at the crook of his neck. His chest rumbled by the way his chuckle. "Hey." he said as he kiss my temple. I smile and just snuggle closer. Ryder pull me closer, "Why is everyone staring?"

I pull away and look around, sure enough almost the whole school is staring. Most girls are glaring at me. I ignored them and look at my friends who are gawking at me. I grinned and waved. Ariana grinned at me and walk towards me.

"So this must be the famous Ryder huh." she teased. "This must be the famous twin." Ryder said with a smirk. I groaned and buried my face at Ryder's chest.

"Hey, stop snuggling. People will think you're turning into a softie." Ariana teased.

I glare at her. Chris has the happy expression. Vivien and Layla, well just forget them. I know they will make me sit down and tell them the details. Georgie and Jack is smiling at me but Carter, he look unhappy and he's been glaring real hard on the ground. Poor ground.

Hey, I'm so tired. The first day of school. And I really need a break already. Oh and I already working on my fourth book, all I need to do is hit the publish button. But I'll publish the book like next week so stay tune for that ;)
