Chapter 24

Ryder's POV

Adriana didn't come home that night and she didn't have the decency to call me to tell me about it. She make me wait up for her all night.

To say I was mad is underestimated. I am furious. I know she kept something from from the way she keep chewing on her lips, I bet she didn't even know she's doing that.

I heard the front door close and footsteps walking to the kitchen. "Where were you?" I asked her nonchalantly.

She jump slightly, "Out." is all she said.

I finally look at her and she look like a messed. Like she's been doing things she didn't do. Her knuckles has a bruised. "Out where Adri?" I gritted out.

"Out somewhere. I'm sorry I kept you up." she said like it's no big deal.

I walk up to her and grab her arm, "You don't even have the heart to tell me you're gonna be out all day?" I yelled out.

"I said I was sorry! Move on with that!" she shouted.

"I need explanation on why you didn't come home."

She laugh, "Whatever Ryder. I don't need to tell you my whereabouts every fucking hour for God's sake!" she cried out.

I look at her, even more furious than I already was. "Well sorry for being worried and caring about you." I retorted sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes, "Grow up Ryder."

"No you grow up! Am I the only person who's trying in this relationship?" I yelled, "Do you even care about us?"

She look at me with pained and sadness in her eyes before she blink them and they're emotionless. "Babe, I've never cared about us before." she stated casually and shrugging.

I look at her like she own another head, "No. You lied." I whispers. "You have to lied." I said with pain. I look at her and grab her before shaking her violently, "Tell me you lying Adriana! Tell me!" I roared.

She look at me and smirk, "I would but then I'll be lying."

I drop my hands from her shoulder and look at her in disbelief. She smirk wider, "Now thank you for letting me stay. I'm gonna go back home." She announced and walk out the kitchen leaving me in the kitchen.

I already fall for her but she has broke my heart. I punch the wall and repeatedly punch and throw everything I see.

She walk down the stairs few minutes later and stop just outside the living room, "I hope you'll find someone better." she whisper and walk away. I know she's hiding her emotions but I can hear a hint of pain when she said that.

"Something is wrong." Reece announced as he walk in.

I look at him and motion him to continue, "I don't know what but I know something's wrong." He said as he stare worriedly at me.

I smile sadly at him, "Adriana left."

"She'll come back right?" he asked slowly.

I shook my head, "She's messing with my feelings. She never cared." I told him and walk up the stairs.

But before I walk I heard him mutter, "That doesn't sound like her." but I just ignored him and walk in my room and slam the door.

It's been a week since I last saw Adriana or even talk to her. It's like she's gone missing. I've met Ariana and the others before at the diner when I'm buying dinner with Reece and they called us. Reece did asked them about Adriana but they shrug saying she's gone.
