Chapter 30

It's been a week, Ryder hasn't talk to me at all. I tried to get a hold of him but he wouldn't answered my phone or replied my text. I sigh as I walk through the bookshelf to try.

"I'm so bored, I surround myself with books ugh" I groaned and walk out the book store and went in to the diner for lunch.

After ordering my food, I went to take a sit at the very corner by the window. I don't like seeing outside alone. I sigh as I start eating my burger.

"Mind if I sit here?" a deep voice said.

I look up and met with a beautiful dark brown almost black eyes. He had dark hair that seems to like he ran his fingers in it a lot of time. From where I could see, he had a few tattoos since he's wearing a button up shirt and his sleeves rolled up til his elbows. He quirk his eyebrow, clearly caught me checking him out.

"Ya, go ahead." I replied.

He grinned before sitting down and start munching his burger. Isn't he gonna introduce himself or something? I sigh and I take my eyes off him and continue eating my food.

"Zachary Jackson." he suddenly stated.

I look up at him, confused. "My name. It's Zachary Jackson. Just call me Zac though." He told me.

I smile at him and nod. "Well aren't you gonna tell me yours?" he asked as he quirk his eyebrow.

I smirk, "Why? Are you gonna ask me out then?" I joked. He grinned, "Maybe."

"Adriana."

"Adriana." he repeated what I said then smile, "I love it." he said. I smile and look down at my food, trying to hide my blush that has creep up to my cheeks.

"So, what I'm hearing is you're just a broken girl who wanted to be fix?" Zac said. After eating in the diner in a awkward silence. Zac finally broke the silent by asking me if I want to have a walk in the park and I just politely agree.

Ha, I politely agree? That's a first.

"So the Ryder guy. Are you and him.... you know?" he said slowly. I chuckle and shook my head, "He didn't say anything about being official together. So I'm assuming no." I stated.

"Good, I don't like sharing." he said quietly.

I look at him weirdly and he just grinned at me. I rolled my eyes, "I need to get home. Nice seeing you Zac." I told him before turning around. He grabbed my arm and turn me around. "You're not leaving me like this are you?" he asked.

I scowl, "Yes I am. Now bye." I said before tugging my arm out of his grip. But before I could turn, he quickly kiss my cheek and hand me my phone.

I quirk my eyebrow, "How did you get this?" I asked.

"I would tell you, but I have to kill you then."

I scowl and walk away from him. "See you soon!" he called out. I just wave my hand, not looking back.

I got on my bike and drove home. I swear I couldn't get Zac out of my mind. I almost got myself kill. Gosh.

Just as I got inside my apartment, my phone ringing. I sigh and answered it. "Hey Adri? Its Diana." she said.

"I know. I had a caller ID." I stated.

She chuckle, "Anyway. Can you come over tomorrow for dinner? We have guest. And your dad miss you." she told me.

I sigh. "We'll see. But no promises."

"Great, see you tomorrow then." and with that she hang up. I groaned and throw myself on my bed, sighing when I feel how comfortable my bed is.
