The dreams that tormented me all nights didn’t help when it was morning, when I used to wake up and went to work.
I looked like a travelling zombie in that area. And, as it was Summer time, it was even worst, because the warm weather makes me feel sleepy.
My part-time was over because the classes were about to start. The beaches were starting to have less people, like the coffees around the same beaches. So, one or two people can make the business go.
I think the dreams and the nightmares were also due of me being a little bit strange. Weird, is the word that classifies me the better.
First of all, a few months ago, I was at school, and I started screaming into the middle of the class, because I heard strange voices, I felt things and people touching me. Sometimes I could see people that were already death.
It was weird, and it became even more once I talked to my mother. She almost had a heart-attack because ‘it was happening to soon’ - her words. Then, she told me a fun story. She said that our family descends from witches, and, my strongest power was talking to dead supernatural beings. She also said that the powers normally just show up once a girl or boy is 20 years, at that time I was just 16… ‘An exception of this rule.'
Secondly, my boyfriend broke up with me. I mean... I guess we started to be so afar from each other, and the separation happened. But still, we continue friends, actually, best friends, we decided that, at that time, the friendship was better than dating.
Next, my mother told me that the stories about vampires and werewolves weren’t that crazy, and that they are as truthful as the witches. All of this, in the begging, had been a shock to me, but as the time went by, I stared to live with this new world.
I entered into my mother’s car. I was late.
Once I put my feet onto the school grounds, all the memories came back.
The cheerleading dressed like prostitutes. Exaggerated makeups, with a lot of sparkles, false-lashes, and orange foundations making them look really cakey… The hair-extensions till the butt.
The girls, that didn’t need to be on the cheerleading to be popular, but they dressed like them: short shorts, short tops, to see the flat belly and the pircings on the bellybutton.
The boys from the football team – all of them really good looking pared with their muscled bodies and cute faces.
The nerd girls and boys really well dressed, with a white shirt or a squares shirt and normal jeans pared with huge “Harry "Potter" glasses.
Then, it was the normal-popular people, like me, which weren’t dressed like prostitutes to make the people look. I mean, I think I was popular because I already made part of the cheerleading, but I was there for less than a year. The football camp with feet marks, where the green grass wasn’t growing there.
Then we had the trees, where all the couples wrote the first letter of their names into a heart.
The flowers that every year grow up there, are always disappearing, normally the boys take them away, to give a buquet to their girlfriends.
The gym, where balls take place. Where many girls envied the other girls dresses, treading their dresses or spoiling the hair of girls they don’t like.
So, I left the car and my mother yanked. My best friends, Lilith, Meridith and Niamith, left their car and ran to me.
“Caroline!” They shouted in unison, everyone knows that this is common in triplets. We embraced each other, as friends usually do, in group hugs.
