Everything I thought that couldn’t happen, happened, and what I imagined that would happen, didn’t happen.

The night was long, my mind andthoughts were racing - that was what appeared in my head.

I could feel the witches in my head again, but Kylie quickly blocked them. I opened my eyes and got up without any enthusiasm. I was screaming, but I didn’t know why. My reaction was to sit, and as I was far from the bed, I sat on the floor. The tow Originals and my twin friends surrounded me.

Suddenly, a sharp pain begins to form in my womb, I screamed again and I squirm with the pain. Then, the words of the witch started to make sense in my head. "We have taken care of that."

Rebekah grabbed my hand and told me loudly, almost shouting, but tenderly. “Hey! We are here.”

Jane, looking at Elijah, said. “She is losing a lot of blood.”

Instinctively I lift my head and saw a huge blood stain formed in my pajama pants. A new contraction was formed. I screamed again, bite my tongue, but that didn’t keep the tears away of my eyes. “The woman did this! She said she would!” I cried.

Joanne looked at Kylie. “If this is a spell to 'anticipate', there is no spell to stop this?”

“Yes, probably, but it cannot be done when the baby coming, would have to be done at mid of the pregnancy. Now there is nothing to do. The baby has to be born now, because if you don’t do that, the baby or even you may die, or worst, both of you die.

Tears ran convulsively.

I felt my clothes being ripped from my body.

“Caroline! The child has to be born now.” Rebekah told me.

“No! Not now, I'm not ready.”

“You have to do this.” Elijah pulled me back, pushing me to remain lying down on the floor.

“In the next contraction, you must push.” As soon as she finished speaking a contraction is busted in my body. I did what Rebekah told me to. Push. “I can already see the head, Caroline, push one more time.” I pushed harder this time and when I finished, I saw the body of the little child, covered in blood, in the arms of Rebekah. “It's a girl.” She told me that when I start to scream, I was having contractions again.

“What the hell is going on?”

“I don’t know.” She answered me. “My God.” She passed my daughter into Elijah’s arms.

        “What happened? Rebekah.”

“I need you to push again.”

“What? Why?” I looked at the confused face of Elijah.

“They are twins, do what I am telling you!” The process was repeated: screaming, writhing in pain, but this time, I was tired, I had my body and face covered with sweat, which made it more difficult. I couldn’t stop saying ‘bad’ words. When I finally heard the child crying, I was more relaxed, everything was momentarily calmer. “It's a boy.” She announced it, cutting the umbilical cord.

I was exhausted, but I sat down and extend my arms so they could give me my children. Elijah gave me girl, cleaned and dressed. Rebekah went to the bathroom, for moments to clean the boy.

The first touch with my daughter was almost magical. The connection that I felt when I touched her little body was wonderful.

“She is beautiful.” Jane said. My daughter was so clear and her little blonde hair was so tiny, her eyes were blue mixed with gray, like mine. After a few minutes Rebekah walked in the door and brought me the boy, she put him into my other arm and the connection I felt with his sister, was equal to the one I felt for him. He had dark blond hair and vibrant blue eyes, like Klaus.

        Klaus!

“What do we do now?” My voice was so different due to the tiredness.

        “Let's save him.” Elijah said.

“Yeah, let me just change my clothes.”

        “You're not coming.” He objected.

        “What? I have to go.”

“No, you're too weak and your children need you here.”

“But...” I started, but I looked to the children in my arms. “Whatever you want, I will be here.”

“Jane, you stay with her.” Elijah affirmed. I don’t know if it was my impression or he was trying to protect her? She didn’t like the idea, because of course she didn’t want to leave her sister, but she obeyed him.

“Only one thing...” Rebekah said with a small smile. “What are their names?”

I thought for a minute. “I never thought about it very much, I didn’t discussed that with Klaus,” I thought again “maybe Claire and Harry, but when I’m with him again, we will decide it.”

“The names are beautiful.” Jane and Joanne said in unison.

Rebekah, Joanne, Elijah and Kylie, were rising to leave.

“Be careful please.” I said to all of them.

Jane embraced sister strongly. “Watch out.”

“I will.” They kissed their cheeks and everyone left.

“As for us,” Jane started, “we will give you a bath and you will feed your children.”

“Yes, okay. I think I have never had a night so big like this one was…” She helped me up, took my daughter as I took my son and headed for the bathroom.
