Sunday was odd. I didn’t receive any messages from him, didn’t have his company. I felt like picking up the phone, dial his number and call him, but he was probably still in flight and I did not want to bother. I wish I could say I loved him and that I would come to him, but could not, and would not do.

I looked to the hours every five minutes until I when I was about to look I recalled: "It's only five minutes since last time I checked."

It was three in the afternoon when I received a message. When I picked up the phone and read who it was, I was sad. It was Lilith.

"Hello! Want to come over to lunch here? "

"I don't feel much like leaving home ... Can you come here instead?"

        "Of course. What time? "

"You can come now, if you want to."

        "Ok, see you."

        “Mother!”

        “Yup?” She shouted in response.

“Niamith, Lilith and Meridith will be here.”

        “Okay.”

        “Will you lunch here?”

“No, I have to go to work now.” She went upstairs kissed my forehead, returned downstairs, grabbed the car keys and stormed out. I wasn’t watching but it was always her routine.

About thirty minutes later my friends rang the bell. I went to open the door and then remembered that I had forgotten to change clothes. It was still in pajamas.

        I opened the door. “Hello!”

“Oh my God, still in pajamas!?” Niamith asked.

“Girl, I warned you, you were the one who said for us to come right now ... If I knew we could have arrived later and you could sleep.” Lilith said.

“I knew that, obviously, but I distracted myself reading.”

“Go and dress yourself, I’ll make lunch.” Niamith declared with a smile on her face.

I climbed the stairs and Meridith came after me. We entered the room and I sat on the bed while she chose an outfit for me to wear.

        “You already know, don’t you?”

“He dropped by our house to say goodbye, and told me that he would tore my head off if I do anything to you again.

I smiled, went to the bathroom to shower, Meridith was following me, everywhere I went to, she was going. After showering I returned to the room and got dressed.

“Honey you need to pass this phase you are still together, but separated by distance.”

        “I hate distance.”

" Why didn’t you go with him?”

“Because I have my mother here, I have you, Jane and Joanne ... I can’t just go...”

        “Why not?”

“For what I just told you.”

“No, not just because of that.”

        “How do you know?”

“Because I know you too well. Tell me the truth.”
