Chapter 8 - Goodbyes?!

        When the alarm clock rang I was already awake, I dressed a dress and I was wondering what Klaus would think, if I was elegant in it or not... After that thought, I rolled my eyes in front of the mirror to myself. I was wearing jewelry and I wore boots with heels about two inches and went out of my room. My mother was at her door and turned right to me.

        “You are using it.” She looked at my dress. “And using them!” She was looking at me, surprised. First because I was wearing summer clothes in the fall, and second, when she gave me the dress I said that I would never wore it because it was too short and I didn’t feel comfortable. The boots were not very comfortable too and I didn’t like using them, but they looked fine with that dress.

        “Yes... I thought it was time.”

        “You're right. It suits you very well. I just think that is already a little cold for that...” She stared at me, and her look almost killed me by the penetration of her eyes being so intense. “Is it just for that?” I didn’t say a word. “Caroline, I'm your mother and I know perfectly well that you fancy Klaus, anybody can see it in thousand miles of distance.”

        I sighed. I didn’t know what to tell her, I grabbed my notebooks tightly. “Goodbye mother.” I gave her the usual goodbye kiss and I went out of the door. Liam, was waiting for me.

        “Hello princess.” He saluted, and gave me a kiss. “You look beautiful.” I smiled at him while he started to drive. “Are you okay?”

        “Yes, but I'm tired, I didn’t sleep all night. And you?”

        “I slept like a rock.”

        “At least you... Sleep for me...“

        We didn’t talk more than that until we get to school which was already crowded of people. Near my best friends, was Klaus, with his usual leather jacket, blue jeans, and a T-shirt. I kissed Liam on the cheek, and I think he tried to kiss my lips, but he was to slow. After leaving his car, I went straight to them.

        “Hello!” My girls’ friends told me and invaded me with a group hug. They gave me a good morning kiss.

        “Hello! So much love in the morning.” I turned to Klaus. “Good morning, love.” Hre said, making me wanting to kiss him again, but it would give many sights. We just smiled.

        “Good morning Caroline.” My friends left because they realized that we needed to talk, but at the time I hadn't realized such a thing.

        “What’s going on, Klaus?” I realized that something was wrong.

        “I came to say goodbye.” I looked at him as if he had spiked a stake in my heart.

        “What are you talking about?” He said it quietly because my voice did not allow me higher.

        “I'm leaving.” He said smiling.

        He was enjoying that, to make a girl fall in love with him and go away just like that. I said fall in love?!  “No. You can’t.” I grabbed his hand, but the second dropped it below, the people there knew Liam was trying to make me fall for him again. Plus, Klaus was the most beautiful boy in school, he didn’t talk to anyone, and one day people, saw him with me, having acts of affection. He started laughing. “It's not funny.” Tears were in my eyes already.

        “You don’t let me finish the sentence. I’m only leaving the school, after so many centuries in schools... I'm sick of this.” I sighed in relief.

        I sent him a punch, lightly, in the stomach. I didn’t care what people would think or not. “Don’t ever do that again, did you get it?” Tears streamed down at that very moment.

        “I will see you later. Maybe you want to schedule another dinner for another time.”

        I wiped my tears and made a small smile. “I hope so. But next time we go to Los Angeles.”

        “Ok, this city is wonderful and I have a story or two to tell.”

        “I'll see you around then.” He made me a look and turned back to school in the exact moment the bell rang for the entrance. I started to turn and was Lindsey's best friend, Samantha, was behind me.

        “What about Liam darling?” She said, trying desperately to open her eyes because the false eyelashes should be weighing a little.

        “Get out the way Sam.” I walked around her.

        “Honey, do you knew that Lind and Liam had a romance during the summer, and she broke up with him, and he went to you, the girl who gives him the support for everything.”

        “Sam, go fuck yourself.” I spelled the word, letter by letter “And something else, takes you to and your stupid theories to the garbage, because that's where that outfit and your person should be.” I said, watching her, looking at those lacy and transparent clothes, leaving the view of the bellybutton piercing and her bra. I stepped over her, mentally, and I walked away briskly.
