When I woke up in the morning, the curtains were open, I could see and hear the rain falling outside. I got up. On top of the chair that was in the room was a blanket made of cotton, so I wrapped myself in it. I allow myself to open the window. I was very warm wrapped in the blanket, but I could feel the cold burying itself in my bones.
The day had a sad appearance, the grass that was soaked in water, the trees were completely naked, which brought a kind of sadness. Because of the cold and rain, I felt like doing anything of life that day. I closed the window and by the bedside table, I noticed that it was a letter.
"Good morning Caroline,
I hope you slept well, at least before leaving you were sleeping like a little angel.
You should know exactly where I am, and believe me, I rather be there with you, but I cannot because my lack of presence has been noticed yesterday, so today could not stay at home...
Love, if you want to go out, ask Elijah to take you, but please don’t go into the woods, stay around, and before you go, let me know where both of you are going. If it’s are a bit further away, tell Elijah to make sure that there are no vampires or witches close. He must take care of you when I cannot.
Love you,
Klaus"
I loved when he wrote me letters, it was so simply romantic.
Someone knocked on the door, it scared me.
“May I?” Elijah asked, he half-opened door.
“Of course!” I exclaimed, with a hand on my heart and another on the belly.
“Did I scare you?” He inquired, entering the room.
“Well that is not the word... Um...” I thought for a few seconds “perhaps... Well, I don’t know.” He smiled, his smile was the same as always. “What are we going to do today?”
“What?”
“Klaus gave his 'permission'” gestured with his fingers the quotes “to leave the house, but just with you, if it’s not is too far away and you must check if there witches or vampires are around the place we’re going.”
“Well, today I had arranged to meet Rebekah...”
“Ah, okay, it doesn’t matter.” I said sincerely. “Does she know I'm pregnant...?” That word continued weird for me to say.
“I think not, at least no one told her. That was another reason why I want her to come here.”
“I understand.” My stomach rumbled. “I'll take my breakfast. Are you coming?”
“No, sorry. I have some issues to deal with.”
Both went out of the room, but he went to his room and I went to the kitchen.
