I looked out the airplane window. The first class seats were more comfortable than the normal ones.
We were going to start our trip in Portugal. We stopped at Lisbon airport. There were many people from all world.
“Where are we going now?” I asked.
“I don’t know, where do you want to go, Love?” He asked me.
I shrugged. “I think that Lilith had talked about Serra da Estrela. I liked to go there. I saw pictures on the net and I would love to go to the Palácio da Pena, my accent is awful, I know, but they say’s a beautiful palace.
“I know it is. I have already been there.” He putted an arm around my waist.
“Klaus, baggage, we need to go get it."
He smiled. “I compelled some guys to take it to the hotel. Calm down, Love.” He grabbed me tighter against him and we continue to all the way to the taxis.
The first stop was at the Palácio da Pena.
The fog clouded my vision, nothing could be seen, if Klaus hasn’t with me, I probably had fall out many times.
I pulled the zipper of the jacket up. The outside part of the Palace was very pretty. All in stone with complicated details. There were people next to us, all tourists, waiting for the guide. There were stairs that went to the ramparts. From the part where I was in that very moment, I could see everything down there and it was all green and full of trees.
We also saw the famous window, with the monster, it was strange, she looked into his eyes, and looked like he was looking at us... I think the name was Janela do Tritão but I’m not sure.
The guide arrived, introduced herself, according to what I heard was Teresa. She spoke five languages: Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and English. She was caucasian, her hair was black hair, she was wearing comfortable clothes. It was obvious that it had to be so because she spent the days going up and down the castles and palaces stairs.
First of all, she showed us a genealogy of the kings of Portugal who had habited that palace. Many people took pictures. We saw everything. The rooms, bathrooms, everything… in America the palaces were different...
Portugal was known for being one of the largest producers and exporters of glass, so, all the present glass was thoroughly worked, as the gold and silver.
Everything was perfectly well explained by Teresa, she was very competent and spoke in a very clear manner and her accent was very good.
Once the visit ended, Klaus went to the tour guide.
“Teresa, how long...” He held out her hand.
“Nik! In Portugal? I didn’t expect to see you here in the next thousand years. What are you doing here?”
“Travelling” with one hand he called me, “this is Caroline.”
“Are you friend of the witches now?”
“I'm not just any witch. We are...” I was going to say 'girlfriend', but I thought it was too much information for a person who I personally didn’t know “...friends.” I said.
“All right, you choose your own friends, but hey, the witches must be highly upset.” She shrugged. “My work today is done, do you want to come drink something?”
