Dave returned downstairs, trying to hold back a smile on his face. It was the kind that wasn't obvious, but that you try to hold in, but can't help. All it does is make you look more pleased.

"Damn, boss, I see that grin," Jesse noticed.

"Shut it," Dave said with a partial laugh.

James saw it, too.

"See? I told you telling her the truth would make you feel better....unless you did something else that's making you blush."

"No. Not like that. I did enjoy the hug, though, and the view, if you know what I'm saying," Dave responded.

It was kind of odd for Dave to joke like that, but he was in a different mindset now. He felt free to express how good Alisha looks to him.

The other guys relaxed at the bar.

"Lucky man," Jason told him.

"Is she coming down?" James asked.

"Nah, she's going down for a nap. Can't blame her, but I'll wake her at 5:30 when I start dinner."

Jesse could still see the happy face buried under Dave's attempts to not show it.

"I haven't seen boss this happy since.....gosh, I don't remember."

"You sure she didn't do anything to you, boss?" Jason asked from the bar.

"Knock it off. She gave me nice hug, that's all."

"What KIND of hug?" Jesse asked, with emphasis on 'kind.'

Dave was about to answer when he realized what he meant.

"You sick bastard. None of that."

Dave was hiding the real reason behind his good feeling, which was what she whispered to him.

Jesse was still on the subject.

"Something must have been different from all of the other hugs....wait a minute, was she topless when she hugged you?" Jesse asked with a chuckle.

Dave scoffed.

"Maybe."

"Alright, boss. She likes you. That confirms it. Everyone agrees, right?" Willy blurted.

They did, even Robert and John admitted it.

"Yeah, boss, the way she looks at you and stuff, it's real," John said.

James' perspective was focused more on the big picture.

"I'm just glad everything has finally worked out. This is how things should be."

That was one way to see it if you were an optimistic person, and James was. Finding someone who was a sweetheart, horse whisperer, that could handle children well, that could cook better than anyone before, and be a potential for Dave while still having a tough side, was a near-miracle, especially given Dave's trust issues.

"I agree, James. Can't have any regrets, either," he told them.

"You like her?" Jason asked.

"I mean, yeah, I like her like the way I like you guys," Dave responded.
