I Just Want To Thank Those Who Continue To Read And For Those Who Follow Me. This Novel Will Be Ready For Purchass End Of July On Amazon.

When the vet walked in, he could have passed for Dave's twin, except with lighter skin, and hair that wasn't as dark. Despite his fit physique, it was hard to imagine a vet with Dave's toned build. His voice was different, though, not as deep, and his personality based on his nonchalant entrance wasn't quite the same either. Alisha decided to stop comparing him to Dave, but perhaps it was natural to do that with an interest like her boss.

"Hey, Adam. Thanks for coming over so early," Dave told him with a quick handshake.

He knelt down to examine Blue Bell.

"So, who hooked up the IV?" Adam asked.

"I did, sir. I also gave her pain meds," Alisha answered.

"Do you work for Dave?

"Yes. I'm Alisha."

"Nice to meet you. Sorry about your eye there."

"Oh, thanks. It's a long story."

Adam checked Blue Bell's catheter.

"Wow. I could not have done that any better."

"Thanks. Here's the medication I gave and the amount is on the bottle."

"You a vet tech?" Adam asked.

"No, but I was a vet's assistant."

"You learned well. You even did a great job dressing the wound. Thanks for doing that," he said with a smile.

Adam examined under the bandage.

"Hmm. I don't think this was done by a bear, Dave."

"Seriously? Then what?"

"Well, don't you have a bull?" the vet asked.

Dave was silent for a moment.

"Yes, but why would Blue Bell go into the pen?"

He was hoping it wasn't true.

"John, Jason, go check on the bull."

They got on it right away.

"She's a very lucky dog," Adam said.

"So, she's going to make it?" Dave asked with some relief.

"Pretty sure. I'd say she's got a 90% chance of making it, thanks to Alisha."

"Thank you," Alisha responded.

"If you hadn't done what you did, when you did, I'd say she'd likely have less than half a chance to survive."

Dave wasn't surprised. Alisha always found a way to make herself important. She kissed Blue Bell on the forehead and asked Adam if he wanted to stay for breakfast, which he had to deny.

"Okay, well if you change your mind, you are welcome to stay. I'll be in the kitchen."

"Thanks, Alisha," Dave wanted to say before she left the room.

"So the bull got her with the horn? Man, if that's the case, it could have been a lot of worse," Jesse remarked.

Adam agreed.

"Yeah, it happens. I've seen it before, especially with dogs because they aren't afraid to confront anything."

Just then, John and Jason ran in with Rip.
