"A heart break isn't always as loud as a bomb exploding. Sometimes, it could be as quiet as a feather falling and the most painful thing is, nobody hears it except you." ~ Unknown

Another year had made its entrance yesterday, marking the three years of their marriage. The roads were still covered under a blanket of snow, the continental high pressure brings cold yet dry weather. Jiwon was on her way home, the place she felt really guilty to return to. So many events happened during the period, but most of it were frightful.

She had been avoiding and ignoring her own husband. Every calls, texts and emails were not replied. It was intentional, to distance herself from him, to make him forget her, to let him despise her then, when he returns, they can get rid of each other. She's willing to be heave out of the house. Living there was nothing but painful.

They kept in touch for the first few months he departed. But as time passes, her feelings started to develop for him impulsively. She was scared if it will get stronger and deeper, when the time comes, she will not be able to leave anymore. The best way is to be out of hold.

Jungkook had been bombarding Mrs. Jeon with news regarding her. However, they agreed not to tell him anything. Mrs. Jeon was reluctant at first since it may have affected his studies but, after finding out the real deal she had nothing against it.

Besides, Mrs. Jeon found out that his husband was cheating on her that same year Jungkook left. Yes, Mr. Jeon was seeing someone else. The truth that even Jungkook tried very hard to keep. But, no secret lasts forever. The reality changed Mrs. Jeon completely, from a kindhearted and naïve warm angel, to an arrogant and selfish cold devil.

Jiwon tried her best to accompany and comfort the woman but, her wounded heart was cut too deep that she wouldn't listen to any advice she conveyed. Yet, once in a while she made time to visit Mrs. Jeon to check on her condition since she lives alone at the moment. Jiwon moved out of the mansion the next day Jungkook left to the apartment provided by him.

As much as she tried to create distance with Jungkook, but she didn't have a heart to ignore the lonely mother. Having a little conscience and kindness, that's the least she can do to repay him. Little did he know, his mother was one of the reason to his wife's coldness.

Apart from that, nothing much change, her family is still unaware of her status and condition. Mr. Kim is keeping the secret really tight. They knew she had found a job but never bothers to ask what and where. All they cared was that she was no longer around and enough to enlighten them.

With a mug of coffee in her hand to keep warm, she walks towards the couch to relax herself. She was quite lazy after shopping for groceries a while ago so, she decided not to cook. She ordered pizza to accompany her while watching a movie.

Suddenly, the door bell rang and she quickly jumped of her seat, took her purse from the cabinet's drawer and rushed to the entrance.

"Coming!" she shouted.

She turned the doorknob only to be dumbfounded. She didn't expect a guest nor anyone at the moment. Her jaw dropped open and eyes widen.

"What are you doing here alone?" she questioned with an annoyed face.

"Not alone!"

"Surprised!" a bunch of fine-looking men stood in front of her excitedly.

"What are you guys doing here together then?" sternly.

"No need to get so worked out, young lady. We came for fun. We brought along food so you don't have to cook," Namjoon walked in without any invitation.

"It's new year party," Jimin giggled, happy to see her.

"Happy new year!" Yoongi entered and straight to the couch then, lay down.

"Lil' sis, don't you miss me the most," he hugged her warmly.

"You better let go, alien. Jungkook will never approve that," Jin dragged Taehyung away.

But the sudden mention of his name changed the air to an awkward silence. Everyone sending death glares towards the eldest. He shrugged his shoulder, 'What?', oblivion. Then, they signalled their eyes to the lady next to him. Jiwon expression told everything.

"I'm sorry, Jiwon-shi. I didn't mean to bring him up in this situation," he ruffled her hair guiltily.

"It-it's okay." she stuttered feeling stupid by her cold reaction. "L-let's get the party started," awkwardly.

Then, they turned the table around by acting normally. Normally means noisy, weird, crazy and extra. Still, that's what bring her happiness. Their sense of humor and warmth fill up her loneliness she has been feeling this past few years. She barely had anyone before they appear in her life. Thanks to him again, she found happiness. But being an ungrateful person, she shut him out.

Taehyung noticed her gloomy eyes. "Are you okay, lil' sis?"

"Y-yeah! I'm fine. Don't worry," she lied.

Jin is in the kitchen preparing to serve the foods so, Jiwon decided to help a bit. She brought out the plates and utensils enough for them. She prepared some hot chocolate for them as a welcoming drink that best suits the weather outside. 'They must be freaking cold.'

"So, still haven't heard anything about him?" Jin asking curiously.

"Nope!" short, ignoring his stares.

"Haven't you been wondering how he is? Where and what is he doing right now?" unsatisfied with her answer.

"Never," firm. 'Yes! I've been dying to know. But I won't.'

"Don't you at least miss him?" testing her.

She shook her head eagerly looking into his eyes, trying to convince him.

"I'll drop the subject then," Jin surrendered.

'No! Tell me something about him. Please!' But, no one can hear her.

They both walked to the living room. As the foods had been organized on the table, the guys gathered around jolly to enjoy the moment. Then, the pizza man came and with that they happily gulping the nourishment. They were watching a movie at the same time adoring each other's company.

Jiwon was in her own world. Eyes on the television but her soul escaped. Wondering through her thoughts. Jin's words kept on replaying in her mind like a broken record. Every single question has an answer, differ to what she told him before.

'Yes, I've been praying for his health. Yes, I've been hoping he is safe. Yes, I've been secretly stalking him. And yes. I've been missing him so much that it hurts having to push him away.'

She knows everything about him. Mrs. Jeon never fails to mention him every time she pays her a visit. All that she had been talking about was Jungkook. How was he, where he had been to, what he was doing. Everything. She didn't miss out anything about him for the past three years.

Jungkook is one of the reason she still managed to step inside of the mansion despite feeling terrible towards him. And every time she visits his mother, she would return home with a heavy and broken heart. Mrs. Jeon never once forget to warn her. 'Stay away from him.' And that is what she had been doing all this while, and will keep on doing it.
