"I was your cure, and you were my disease. I was saving you, but you were killing me." ~ Unknown

The guests were starting to enter the venue one by one making the hall a bit crowded. Dressing in black suits and elegant dresses, the annual dinner party was going very well. The cameramen were flashing their equipments to capture the figures attending the night event. The staffs and the business partners were all along enjoying themselves with the servings and slow musics filling every corner of the gigantic hall.
Kwon Mina was dazzling in her grey bluish sleeveless evening dress sweeping the ground, with beads and laces to cover her top on a see-through material and a flowy lower emphasizing her known beauty. Accompanying her was a young man with an attractive face stealing every ladies' attention, with his neatly comb hair and black suit, Jungkook was more than perfection. Together, the couple was a picture-perfect.
They were invited to their client's company event, they were united in terms of business relationship. Jungkook agreed to be Mina's partner for the night although he was not interested in attending the party, but for his company's benefit, he couldn't simply say no. So, there he was. Gratefully, the Bangtan's was also around to keep him entertain.
As he was talking to one of his client, he was tempted by a sweet lullaby, a sound that he once almost forgotten or tried so hard to delete it, but now, it was pleasing his ears to search for the owner of the voice. His eyes wandering every corner of the hall, seeking the figure that had been interrupting his peaceful sleep every night and the caused to his alpha cold manner. Unfortunately, he couldn't catch even a glimpse of the said person as if he was hallucinating her presence.
He was desperately frustrated and suffocation filling his lungs, making it hard to breathe at the same time, cursing himself for thinking of someone who had left him strangled in his own sufferings. Reaching the small empty bar, he grabbed a bottle of wine and walked towards the rooftop for a fresh air, to clear his miserable mind. He was about to go crazy and insane.
Gladly, no one was at the highest floor, simply enjoying each other's company at the venued hall, finding pleasure to be around people but not for him. He had been restraining himself from getting near people as he felt the pressure of having to satisfy everyone expecting the best of him.
On the other hand, Jiwon was coincidentally attending the similar party with his manager, again as a date and it proved a fact that Jungkook wasn't fantasizing the whole time. She was really there without realizing that her once husband was also at the event, completely clueless. She was wearing a beautiful peach pink dress with a lacey long sleeves to cover her bare skin.
After an hour of roaming around without direction, she was getting bored as she knew no one. Seojoon was socializing just fine with his friends of the same level, totally forgetting about her, she felt useless struggling among the prestigious crowd, feeling lowly of her plain self. She was frustrated and suffocated breathing the awkward air surrounding her environment. She left the party quietly.
However, as she was about to exit the entrance, her eyes caught a glance of a pair of sorrowful motherly eyes, staring at her deeply as if trying to convey a message, asking for her forgiveness, begging for her help. She couldn't interpret it clearly thus, she decided to turn around, approaching the elevator, and run away.

Jungkook was enjoying his sight served by the city lights enlightening the night view, it was breathtaking enough compared to the crowd, relaxing his tense nerves and muscles. The cool breeze was comforting and coaxing his throbbing head as he gulped down his throat the strong wine. However, the peaceful darkness was disturbed by a sudden creaked.
The door to the rooftop was slightly open from inside, noting that someone had found his hidden spot. He scoffed harshly at the disturbance, but refused to turn around to leave the place. So, he let the individual leads its own way to wherever they want.
"Sorry, I thought no one was going to be here," the sweet lullaby. "I need some fresh air, and I accidently heard about the rooftop," the voice sang. "I hope you won't mind me being here," softly serenading his hearings.
Jungkook was taken aback by the familiar vocal sound. He ruffled his hair messily, trying to get rid of the voice in his head. He chugged another round of wine, huffing as he pulled the bottle down. He was warning himself not to glance but his action works otherwise, and he regretted it as soon as his eyes fell onto the beautiful features beside him, stunning in her dress, captivating him to stare.
However, the unexpected eye contact brought him back to reality. The bright pretty eyes turned glossy, her delicate lips quivering before covering it with her slender fingers, blinking repeatedly as if trying to wake her from the nightmare, she stood frozen at her place.
"We meet again...Jeon Jiwon," he finally said it after swallowing the lump in his throat, with an evil smirk on his lips, his eyes darken as he glared at her. He blurted out a small forced laughter, more to mocking himself.
"J-Jungkook." She was completely dumbfounded. She didn't expect to meet him again, not anytime, not anywhere, not today.
"How's life in Sydney?" he asked her casually as he knew all this while where she was.
Her eyes grew wider, never expected for him to find out about her whereabouts, "Great." She managed to answer him back in a tiny little weak tone.
"Of course! Why won't you?! It must have been enticing to leave a man behind, entirely clueless as to why he was left without a word. Congratulations! You had killed a soul." His voice was as cold as ice accompanied with a wicked laughter. He sounded extremely hurt.
"I...I'm..." just one more word to utter which seems so difficult to be apologizing.
"Aren't you curious on my well-being?" Jungkook cut her off.
"H-how...how are y-you?" her short words stammered obviously.
"Amazing! I felt wonderful. Never felt so alive before. Thank you, Jiwon-shi. You awoke the living dead in me. It's enthusiastic, people won't be taking me lightly anymore." He chuckled painfully as if he was deeply torn.
"I...I'm...s-so-" she stuttered again.
"Jiwon-shi..." he shortened their distance, pacing closer to her figure, totally oblivion of the surroundings, he raised his hand against her scarlet cheek, caressing tenderly, the lingering feelings ran through his spine. His thumb moved towards her cheery painted lips, soft and delicate, he shut his eyes, as if trying to capture the moment and keep it safe inside his brain locker.
He wanted to grab her shoulders roughly and slam her towards the nearest wall. Trap the woman with her arms pressing against the cold surface on each side of her face, leaning down to her face dangerously close, engulf her in between his muscular arms, touching her beautiful figure shamelessly, making her feel uncomfortable and unpleasant by his ruthless movement. He wanted to hurt her so badly. He wanted her to feel the pain he was shouldering. Yet, he didn't have the courage to do so. His heart was holding him back.
"Jung-Jungkook..." his name sounded enchanting as it slipped through her tongue, so sweet and amusing.
He hushed her with his index finger, signaling her to cease her words, his eyes gazed directly through hers, darken as it got deeper, glittering due to the ray of light shining through the fluorescent street lamps. "Why do you feel so real even in my dream? Why are you still so warm even though I'm hallucinating?"
He thought he was seeing things again. He grabbed a handful of his hair strands and pulled it hard to wake him up. He swallowed the wine to an empty bottle and throw it against the wall across him, glass crushing into pieces reminiscing his heart. He fell on his knees against the cold ground, breaking down his pool of tears. He was entirely broken and whipped.
"Jiwon-shi!!! Why did you leave me? What did I do wrong? Am I really not worth your love?" he screamed his lungs out and fell into a deep slumber moments later while trying to search for unattainable answers, there he laid restlessly, lips turning blue and shivering.
