Part 16 - "Did he?"

I get a bit panic and walk fast to the bathroom. “Elena!” I scan the bathroom and she’s not there too.

Where is she??

I turn around and suddenly I get a little crash of hug.

“Zayn thank you so much!”

Elena hugs me really tight with her face that is going to cry, I got so surprised at first. I can feel her trembling hands on my back and her head on my shoulder. She’s thoroughly in fear now.

“Calm down, Elena. I’m here. I’m here.” I said to her as I hug her back.

“I’m very scared, Zayn.” She whispered weakly to me. She’s like about to cry. Her breath is really not controlled.  Now I’m getting scared too.

I stroke her hair gently and let her rest herself in our hug for a moment. “It’s okay, Elena. Don’t be scared!”

“It’s getting worse, Zayn. I can’t-..”

“Ssshhhh don’t say anything.” I said softly to her. I had to cut her words because she shouldn’t say anything at this moment.

I pull out the hug and carry her on my side to her bed. She sits down on the bed as she’s trying to calm herself down by clenching her both hands. I kneel down in front of her and I say, “there’s nothing to be scared about anymore.”

“I thought you wouldn’t come and I hated to know it when I was awake.” She said a bit crying. I didn’t know that she’s going to need me this much.

I hold her hands as I look at her in the eyes. I need to convince her. “Don’t worry! I wouldn’t do that.”

“I’m sorry, Zayn.”

“It’s alright, Elena. I came because I cared about you.” I look at her and she still looks worried and scared. “Now Elena, look at me.”

She looks me back into my eyes with her sad puppy dog face. I stroke her hair gently. I don’t know why I just get attracted.

“I’m not going to let you alone. I promise I won’t leave you. I give you my words.”

She bites her lips and starts to give me a smile that makes me calm as usual even though it’s weak.

“Come on. You have to sleep.”

“Will you sleep too?” She asked me with a worried face. “I can’t let you awake for me. You need sleep too.”

I should’ve known that she’s going to say that. “yea. Of course.”

She smiles at me and immediately moves away to the other side of the bed so I can sleep beside her. I’m not sure that I can sleep. I mean, one bed with her. Well, I can’t do anything.

So I pull up the cover over her as I lay on the bed beside her. She starts to close her eyes and sleeps peacefully. I can’t handle her adorable face. She holds my hand like a girl who’s really in fear. I remember when I was being such an evil guy to her. On the first day when she’s in our house, I’m wondering why I could hate her that much.

[Let’s go to your POV!]

“Wake up, Elenaa!!”

My eyes are suddenly awake as the very shiny lights of sun just shines over me. I hear the curtains sound that are just being pulled away. I yawn as I’m trying to clear up my visions. I barely see a guy who’s walking back and forth in my room. I rub my eyes as I sit up and it turns out the guy is Liam. I thought it was Zayn. Wait… where’s Zayn by the way? He must have been awake before me.

“Morning, sleepy head! Looks like you slept very well last night.”

Well… I’m not going to say anything about that.

“What time is it, Liam?” I asked to him as he’s turning off all of the lights.

“10 a.m.”

“10 already?!” I get a bit startled to hear that. But well, like I have something important to do today. I sigh. “I’m thoroughly too late for breakfast.”

“Yes you are. But I’ve called the hotel service to bring up your breakfast over here.” Really his words always make me chill down.

“Oh Liam, thank you. You’re the kindest.”

“Thanks for the compliment. But next time you have to wake up on time for breakfast, okay?” He said, being more than a brother. I think his ‘daddy being’ is just turned on.

“Okay. I promise. I’m sorry.”

“Good girl!”

*bell rings*

“It must be the foods.”

I poke my head a little to the front to see the door. Liam is walking over and opens the door. Yes those are the foods. There the breakfast man is coming in and put the foods on the night table. Apparently Liam ordered some sweet breads and chocolate milk as my breakfast.

“thank you.”

I smile at the man and he smiles back at me as he says, “you’re welcome.”

Then Liam says thank you too to the breakfast man as he’s leaving out the door. I start eating the breads.

“So, how are you and Zayn? Looks like you guys already get along.”

He said as he’s walking over to me. Then he sits beside me.

“Yeah. We’re really good now. I’m so happy that he’s not like the guy that I thought.” I take a bite. “Maybe you’re right.”

“What?”

“He’s bipolar.”

Liam shrugs his shoulders. “Yeah. But soon you’ll understand him. Anyway, did Zayn sleep here last night?”

“What?”
