Part 18 - Shopping!

“Harold!”

Louis calls me to make sure that I’ve made my decision.

“Okay. There’s something that I want to tell you.”

He looks at me with his wondering face and I look back at him.

“This is about Elena.”

“What happened to her?” He asks ridiculously.

“Nothing!” I chuckle at him. We haven’t started yet he’s already making a joke.

Okay, I’m going straight to the point. “I think I have a crush on her.”

“OH I KNEW IT!! I KNEW THAT THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!”

I close my both ears immediately as I protect myself. Just in case he’s going to rage. “I… actually knew that you already knew it, Louis.”

Then he starts chilling down and his face turns to thinking face. “But you’re… you’re having a crush… on our little sister. How could you have a crush on our little sister??”

“I know! I know that her status is our little sister. But I’m not talking about siblings. I really see her, as just a girl.” I try to calm myself down.

“Hmm…”

“Am I wrong?” I asked really from the bottom of my heart.

“Yes. You’re definitely wrong.”

Oh. Really sad to hear that. Really. Bits of silence for a moment. Louis still looks at me.

Then I ask. “Why?”

“Because it’s actually too early to have such a feeling like that.”

I look down. “Like you don’t know me, Louis.”

“Alright, I suggest you to not to make any moves on Elena any further.”

I’m thinking a moment. Bits of silence for a moment. Louis still looks at me. Waiting for my response.

Then my response is, “why?”

“Because if you do, it will reflect badly not on you, but also on our band, and Elena. We’ve just been adopting her for like 4 days and you already make rumours that you date your own foster sister.”

“Isn’t it wise that I tell her my feeling before she goes away?”

“That’s not called wise, that’s called aggressive. Elena is our foster sister, Haz. Don’t forget about that!” He said wisely for this time.

His words make me cornered again. I can’t tell anything but he’s just too right. “Now what should I do?”

“There’s nothing you can do but protect her.”

“Protect her?” I turn to him immediately. I don’t understand. “Protect her from what?”

“Protect her from other guys.” He looks at me, his face is like making sure that I understand. “You understand me, don’t you?”

“Other guys who are starting to get into her?”

“Exactly.”

I’m thinking again. Protect her, that’s not a hard task, right?

“But… until when?” I asked again.

“Until the right time comes.”

“When does the right time come?”

“I don’t know. Nobody knows, Harold.” He gets on to his laptop again.

Nobody knows the right time. That means nobody knows that it might happen quicker.

“Does that mean-..”

“No.”

[Let’s go to… no one’s POV!]

So Niall, Liam and Elena are heading out to the shopping centers. On their way, no wonder there are lots of paparazzis around taking their pictures. As usual, Niall and Liam seem already getting used to it. They look don’t care at all. But again, to Elena, it’s one of parts that she hates when she’s hanging out with the boys.

She’s being scared again, but she tries her best not to look like she is. She bites her lips and just pretends like everything’s going normally. But no matter how hard she tries, Liam notices.

He puts his arm around Elena’s shoulder. She looks up at Liam with her scared puppy face, then Liam smiles calmly at her while Niall is waving at the paparazzis.

So finally they arrive at the best shopping centers there. But first, Liam and Niall decide to accompany Elena to the girls’ clothes section.

“Okay, first. Let’s find some fancy clothes for you.” Liam said to Elena.

“No-no-no. Don’t too fancy.” Elena complains.

Niall chuckles. “Yea. Not too fancy, but it has to be sooo pretty.”

“Aaaww… Ahahhaha.” Liam laughs.

“What? Noo..” Elena complains with a bit of giggles.

“Let’s go, Niall! I’ll go this way. You’ll go that way.”

“Yezzir!” Niall goes up to the other corner of girls clothes.

“Guys wait!! Gu-..” while Elena doesn’t know what she has to do.

She sighs, looks around with her innocent face and just decides to look on some cute clothes near her.
