Part 33 - The Issue

“There you are, Elena! I’ve been looking for you.”

“Oh, hi, Harry!”

I immediately get off my hand of her hand just as Harry appears. I’m shocked actually that I had to stop holding Elena’s hand.

“I just found something interesting that you need to see! Come on!” Harry grabs Elena’s other hand and immediately takes her somewhere. Well, I have to be patient… again.

I sigh and let myself calm. I can’t think bad things to Harry. He’s my partner, my bestfriend too, and I’ve considered him as my brother too. But I guess that he’s acting overrated already. First, he’s the one who accompanies Elena every night now, second, he kissed Elena, third, he always can get to her. Ugh it hurts my heart so much to be honest if I think about it all.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?”

I’m shocked at first when I suddenly hear those words near me, then I turn around, there Liam’s standing beside me, trying to make a joke of me.

“Oh, stop it, Liam!” I muttered, a bit angry.

“Are you alright, Zayn?” He asked, looking at my face.

“No, I’m not!” I said, angrily at him.

He giggles like crazy at me. I don’t see what’s so funny with this situation.

“Zayn… Zayn. Look at you! Everyone agrees that you’re hot, handsome, vain, and good looking. But one thing that I still don’t understand.”

I look at him, waiting for his next words.

“You’re the one that always failed at making relationships with girls.”

Oh, right. I look down and wish that I could understand myself. He’s right. I might be looking good, but I always lose against girls. Well, I don’t understand either. It’s really hard for me to fall for any other girls. Even the prettiest girl in the world. If I found the girl that I love, I really didn’t care how bad her look is. That’s really true.

“Wait.. I thought that Harry is afraid of fireworks?” Liam suddenly said, curiously.

I look at Harry, he’s there with Elena playing one of games here at the carnival. “I guess he’s afraid of the sounds.”

So we’re six again. Decided to walk around together again. I’m really sick of Harry acting super overrated to Elena. Shows off, looks for attention, well, Harry if you like her, give her flowers! Date her! I guess everyone here ships Harry with Elena. Even though Elena is our foster sister, it’s not impossible if we could just fall for her and decide to date her. As long as she doesn’t feel bad and agrees. Ugh. What’s the word? Helena? Argh I have to stop thinking about that!

“Oh, God! Elena look!!” Harry suddenly shouted, pointing at something that is going round.

“Roller Coaster!! Can we take a ride?? Louis? Please?” Elena begged full of excitement.

This is bad, I don’t like roller coaster.

Louis says, “Uhm.. I don’t think so. It’s kind of fun but..”

 “No.. not roller coaster.” I finally said that.

“Oh, come on, Zayn! It’s not that bad! You’ve taken a ride of that before, right? Even though… once?” Harry tried to convince me.

I don’t like riding a roller coaster. They can call me a bad boy but for this one, I really don’t care if it makes me look like a little baby sucking his thumb. Moreover, lads know that I don’t like roller coaster, why suddenly did Harry ask for a roller coaster?

“He’s afraid of riding a roller coaster.” Niall told Elena, sounded teasing.

“Hey, I’m not afraid!” I dodged his words.

“Just a little moody about the roller coaster?” Harry really teased.

“Oh, shut up.” I said to him with my manner. He actually pissed me off.

“Well it’s fine. You guys can ride the roller coaster. Zayn and I will be here.” Liam spoke up. Well, he never made me look so bad.

“Then me too.” Elena suddenly said that to me with her begging eyes.

“Elena If you want, you can go with Harry, Niall and Louis.” Liam said to her, sweetly.

“But I can’t let you guys stay here while we’re having fun there.” Elena said.

“Elena, they’re good. After riding the roller coaster, we’ll be six again.” Harry convinced her.

It does really annoy me when Harry looks like he really wants to take a ride of the roller coaster with Elena. It makes me believe that Harry considers this hanging out thingy is only about him and Elena.

“Elena I’m fine.” I said to her.

“He’s okay, Elena. Come on!” Harry said to Elena, sounded forcing.

Elena still feels bad. “But I still can’t-..”

“Don’t worry, Elena! Liam and I will take another ride around here.” I kind of sounded mad.

She says, “I’ll go with you.”

“ELENA JUST GO RIDE THE ROLLER COASTER! I DON’T NEED YOU TO BE WITH ME!”

I couldn’t hold my temper anymore. I think my brain’s just exploded, this discussion is driving me crazy. Everyone in the carnival around us is looking at me weirdly and with surprised faces. Even Liam, looks like he couldn’t believe that I just yelled angrily… to Elena.

“Don’t be rude to her, Zayn.” Harry said to me with his angry eyebrows.

Elena’s looking at me, a bit scared. This situation really gets me cornered. I feel really bad now. This is really bad. I didn’t mean to be rude to her. It just suddenly came out of my mouth. I swear. I have to go away.

“Now we may have a conclusion that Zayn Malik is the only member from One Direction who doesn’t like Elena to be their foster sist-..”

The TV is turned off immediately by Harold, one of the managements of One Direction. My band. I’m sitting here on the sofa, with the managements around me. Harold, Joseph, Jay, George and Paul. Here, wanted to talk to me, because of the issue that has been taking over the world, about me getting angry with Elena at the carnival last night.

“You know this problem is getting bigger without you realizing it, Zayn. You know that.” George said.

“I know.” I said, not a single fuck is given. “What’s the point of this all?”

“The point is, you got to be very more professional. You’re Zayn Malik from One Direction! Not the Bradford boy that no one knew and cared anymore. Everything that you do always affects the band and the popularity. Once you make a mistake, they will judge you from the very bottom.” He explained, sounded a bit angry with me.

“You can’t be like that again, Zayn. Your fans are reducing just because of this trivial problem.” Joseph said.

“They’re not my fans! They’re my band’s fans.” I told him.

“Okay, okay. Calm down.” Paul put up his hands, chilling people around down. “We definitely understand that.. you were just getting emotional. The reason why you were being like that doesn’t matter anymore.”

“Yeah. Now we have to talk about, how we can turn the issues upside down.” Jay who finally said.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“You must fix all the issues to become a better issue. One Direction is almost signed bad because you.. just yelled something rude to your foster sister.” Jay explained. Everyone agrees with him.

“But.. how?” I asked, looking at him confusedly. I'm a bit worried actually.
