Part 21 - First Promise

So time for me and Liam to do the payment. People around still keep taking our pictures. I look at them one by one with my lame smiling face. Then I see Liam puts his arm around Elena again. I think he's always the first one who notices Elena when she is being uncomfortable. I have to do something too. I reach Elena's hand and hold it as gentle as I can. She turns to me and smiles at me. I smile back calmly at her.

So along the way, I'm holding Elena's hand. I keep holding it. Because I can see her face turned calm since then. The paparazzis, girls, stalkers, they keep taking our pictures. I wonder what they would do with the pictures they took.

[End of Niall's POV!]

So finally they arrive at their hotel. Seems like they just passed a lot of things because time flies so fast.

“Thank you for today, guys.” Elena stops them before they go to their rooms. “And the clothes too.”

“You’re welcome.” Liam smiles back as he hands out Elena’s bags of clothes to her.

“You can never not take what you deserve.” Niall said, smirked at her before he gets into his room.

Elena smiles shyly at him.

Liam looks at Elena. “You like him?” He teases, evil smiles on his face.

“What?! Huh-… naw..” She said shyly.

Then Liam’s face turns to be like, ‘lieeeeee!’.

“That’s not going to happen, Liam.”

“Why? Nobody knows what would happen next.” He said, still sounded teasing.

“Just-.. Don’t think about it! I’m not going to think about it.” She does a little defense.

“You will think about it all daaay…” Liam teased again.

“Noooo… Okay stop it.” Elena gets a little mad, but still feels shy.

“Aaaaww!”

“Whatever okay… it’s up to you. By the way, can you please promise me something?” She suddenly gets a bit serious.

“What’s that?” Apparently Liam still likes to tease her about Niall.

“Liam, it’s not about him!” She whispers, while her eyes point at Niall’s room.

“Oh, okay. What’s that then?” He turns his face to serious face too and gets closer to Elena.

“Could you please promise me you won’t tell anyone about what I told you this morning?” Elena whispers with a puppy face.

“This morning… that nightmare thingies?”

Elena nods. Liam stands upright while he’s thinking. He thought that it wasn’t supposed to be a secret. The lads need to know that too. He’s so confused, he can’t resist Elena’s puppy face.

“Please, Liam.” Her puppy face became stronger.

Liam is still quiet. He doesn’t know what to answer. Then he finally made a decision. He wishes that it’s the best that he can do.

“Okay.” He smiles at her, while secretly puts his right hand behind his back and crosses his fingers. “I promise.”

“Thank you, Liam!” She smiles happily at him.

Liam just fakes his smile, thought that he just made a mistake.

“Honestly I feel a little bit better after I share my story to you. I feel like bits of my burden just lost.” She said.

“I’m so glad, Elena.” He said that really from the bottom of his heart.

*bell rings*

Elena hears a bell rings from the door of her room.

“Coming!”

She walks over to the door and opens the door. It’s Harry and Liam, and the boys behind.

“Hey, guys.” She smiles at them.

They just give a little wave and Harry gives her both smile and wave.

“You’re doing something important?” Harry starts.

“Oh- no. Nope. Not at all. Why? Aren’t you guys supposed to do a concert tonight?” She said.

“Yes. Well, you better change your clothes, because we want you to come with us.” Liam said.

Elena raises her eyebrows. “Wh-.. why?” She’s worried that she’s just done something wrong in the hotel that the lads have to take her with them everywhere.
