At 3:30 in the morning my phone rang, Zack was calling me. I knew instantly that something happened to Lily. He told me to head to the girls apartment right now. With my phone in hand, I sprinted to my truck in nothing but shorts and boots as I sped towards Lily and Laneys. Right as I pulled up an ambulance was pulling away sirens on full blast as they headed to the hospital.
"Where is she? Where's Lily?" I shouted at the paramedics near me. I spotted Zack talking to a police officer, and rushed over to him. "Zack where is she, where's Lily?"He looked at me, his eyes red and tears running down his face. "She's gone Cam, the police said there was a struggle and it looks like she was taken. Laney though..." his voice broke, "Her throat was cut, she barley had a pulse when the paramedics took her away. It doesn't look like she will make it." He starts to cry again, this time I take him into my arms and hug him.
I stand there, holding Zack, to stunned to comprehend what he had just said. Someone took Lily, she could be in danger, and they don't even know where to start. I do though, I know exactly who took her, and hurt Laney. It was Professor Riley, it had to be! I run to the officer Zack had been talking to and tell him everything. He escorted me over to a short man, with brown hair and a thick brown mustache. " I'm Detective Marsh." he says to me, but I waste no time, jumping right into my story. I tell him everything Professor Riley had done to Lily, the abuse and the stalking.
Detective Marsh takes down my name and phone number. Once he realizes that I'm not going anywhere, he asks for me to get Lily's family on the phone. Which I do, but I have to call J.J. in order to get a hold of them. When J.J. finally answers the phone I yell at him to wake up and take the phone to their dad. Without arguing, I hear him running through their house to his parents room. Once her dad is on the phone, Detective Marsh takes it out of my hand and informs them that their daughter is missing.
After a few minuets they hang up and he hands my phone back to me. "Son you better come to the station with me, her parents are on their way here and it would be nice for them to see a familiar face. I also would like to officially take your statement regarding Miss Asher and Mr. Riley's relationship."
I nod my head and walk over to my truck, and it hits me. Lily is gone, she could be hurt, or worse, dead. I let my self collapse in my truck, letting the tears stream down my face as my heart breaks for the girl I love more than anything in the world. A few minuets pass by and I remember that I need to be strong, for Lily, and her family. The twins will be devastated and lost. I will take care of them until Lily comes home. I will watch over her family, they are the closest thing I have right now. I will not stop until she is found, and back safely in my arms.
