Chapter 12

I was jerked awake by a sudden feeling of being watched, I roll over on my bed and see Cam curled up on his side sleeping soundly next to me. Looking to my window I see that it's pitch black outside. Searching for my phone I must have woke Cam up. "What time is it?" he asked me once I finally find my phone I click my screen on to check the time. The bright screen blinds me but after a few seconds I read the time. "It's 3:00AM, we must have slept through the whole day."

Cam smiles and stretches, "Good that was my plan" Smiling at him I ask him if it all really was part of his plan. "Well not the sleeping till 3:00 AM but spending the whole day with you, yes, and I have to say it was a day well spent." He gets off of the bed and puts on his shoes, "As much as I would like to stay, I should probably go home. Thank you, Lily, for the best nap in the world." The flirty grin he gave me was one that changed the pattern of my heartbeat. "It was my pleasure, Cameron. Thank you for taking care of me today, it really means a lot to me."

Tears stung in my eyes threating to start falling, knowing the truth of my words Cam came over to me and kissed me lightly on my lips. "I will always take care of you Lily, for as long as you let me." With a light hand brushing away the hair on my face, he gently kissed me once more before walking out of my room.

Following him to the front door, I wait and watch as he gets into his truck and drives away. Locking the front door, I get a glass of water from the kitchen and make my way back to my bedroom. Once in my room, I can hear my cell phone vibrating excessively. Looking at the phone I see missed calls and texts from Lucas. Only reading a few of the texts of him begging me to talk to him, and love him again.

After reading those few texts I decided to block his phone number, He and I were through and he needed to accept that. Laying back on my bed, the scent of Cameron surrounds me, wrapping me in a protective cocoon. Eyes slowly closing and sleep creeping in, I get the same feeling of being watched that I got earlier. Then I hear a click, the sound of a latch opening. My window, someone was opening my window.

Throwing my covers off I make a dash for my door hoping I can get out before the intruder gets in. The door open and my body halfway out the door I'm suddenly ripped backward back into my room and thrown on the ground. The intruder shuts my bedroom door and turns around to face me. Lucas is the intruder, and now with him towering above me, I can see that it is the monster side of him.

He grabs me by both arms and rips off of the ground to face him. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" he screamed the question in my face. Stuttering I managed to get a weak nothing out as an answer. "Do not tell me nothing. Who is He Lily? Why is he in your bed at 3:00 in the morning!" He continues to yell at me, shaking me roughly. "Sleeping Lucas, we were just sleeping I swear!" "Do not lie to me Lillian Asher, are you sleeping with him? Is that why you broke up with me? To sleep with him!"

"No Lucas I swear I haven't slept with anyone! Why are you here, and why are you hurting me?" I yelled back at him crying from the physical pain he was inflicting. He shook me again and again, never answering my question. He throws me on the bed and pins me down holding both of my arms with one strong hand. Clamping the other one down on my mouth he whispers in my ear." If you don't stop screaming, I promise you, I will give you a reason to scream." His threat stops my struggles, and I am forced to lay there and listen to him.

"Now Lily, let us try this again. Who was he." Removing his hand so I can speak I manage to whisper out a reply. "No one Lucas, he's no one. He is just a friend. Please stop hurting me." "No Lily I won't stop hurting you, you aren't listening to me. You are mind forever, I will kill anyone that tries to come between us. Do you understand me, Lily?" I do understand him now, he's crazy, and he's deadly.
