My head was throbbing, as I slowly came out of the drug induced state I was in. The horrific events of last night came back to me in a blur. The nightmare replying over and over, Laney's dead and it's my fault. Lucas killed her to get to me, and now my best friend was gone forever. After a few long minutes I gathered the courage to open my eyes, which did nothing to help the pain in my head.
I take in my surroundings, slowly looking from wall to wall. The room I was in was a large bedroom, and I noticed I was laying on a giant bed. The walls surrounding me were made up of dark wooden panels, giving the room a cabin feel. That must be it, this place must be a cabin of some sort. There were no windows in this room, keeping me from guessing the time of day.
I see a small door next to a dresser on the other side of the room from the huge wooden one leading to the exit. In between those two doors, was another door that looked like it lead into a bathroom. Discovering that it it was indeed a bathroom, brought attention to my full bladder. I slowly try to ease myself off of the bed, realizing how much pain my body was in. After a few failed attempts, I managed to slowly stumble into the bathroom.
Once in the small bathroom, I relieved myself and took this time to look around the room. The bathroom was just like the bedroom, windowless and decorated to give it a cabin feel. I stumbled over to where the sink was, and right above the sink was a small mirror. The mirror revealed how I looked at the moment, my long blonde hair ratted and stained with blood at the bottom. The P.J.s I had worn that night, were a deep maroon color from Laney's dried blood. My body was different shades of blue and black from Lucas's attack. I looked terrible, my blue eyes were puffy and bloodshot, with a few of the blood vessels busted in them.
As I examine myself, something in the top corner of the mirror catches my eye. I pull the paper from the corner of the mirror and unfolded it slowly, knowing it was from Lucas. My heart started to pound in my chest, somehow I had pushed him from my mind. I had stayed focused on little tasks and had forgotten why I was here in the first place, I was here because of him. Laney was dead because of him. All the note stated was " Now we will be together forever, my lovely Lily". I throw down the note, tears breaking through, and pouring down my face.
It all finally sank in, Laney's death, and my capture. I'll never make it out of this place, never see my family or Cam again. with my back against the wall I slide down it, my hysterical sobbing racking my chest, until I could no longer breath. I stayed there for what seemed like hours, my body crumpled up against the wall, with my legs sprawled out on the floor.
When the tears ran dry, I crawled into the bathtub, clothes still on and let the hot water wash away Laney's blood. Sitting on the corner of the bath tub, was the same shampoo and conditioner that I always use. He must have been planning this, getting them for me to make me feel as comfortable as possible in these conditions. The sent reminds me of home and overwhelms me as I lather it into my ratted blonde hair.
I stay in the bath until my skin looks like prunes and it's time for me to get out. I wrap my self in a white and fluffy towel that was hanging on a towel rack. Walking out of the bathroom, my eyes land on the bed where a lily lays along with another note from Lucas.
"Clothes for you are in the dresser by the door, when you are ready come to the kitchen. I'll be waiting for you.
P.S. Welcome home Lily"Home? Is he serious? There is no way that this prison will ever be home! Home is with my family and Cam, not this hell hole! The thought of him keeping me here and expecting me to call it home was to much. Rage fills me and gives me the strength to throw things all over the room. I destroy the bedroom, making it look like a tornado went through here.
