Melody's pov

The next morning I woke up to unfamiliar surroundings. It took me a minute to realize what had happened last night.

After I stopped running in the field, I looked around and found a nearby tree. I ended up climbing into it and sleeping there.

Once I finished remembering last night's events I decided to climb out of the tree. Then after walking a little bit I realized that I was lost.

**************

20 minutes later I found myself walking by the side of the highway. I can see in the distance a gas station/convenience store.

When I got there I immediately went up to the store clerk.

"Excuse me, do you have a computer I could use?"

"Uh, I think in the back there might be an old one that you could probably still email and stuff like that" he replied. He directed me towards the computer and I darted towards it.

I fired up google and looked up Instagram. I signed in and DMed Daniel.

Me: I don't know where I am and I need help.

Part of me didn't want to ever talk to him again, so I could move on, but I had no other options.

A few minutes later he responded.

Him: Wait what? Ummmm ok. Do you have any idea where u r?

Me: Hold on.

I asked the clerk what the store was called and town we were in.

Me: I'm at a store called Plaid Pantry in Norwood.

Him: Ok, Google says it should take me 20-30 mins to get there. See u then.

Me: till then.

I logged out of my account and powered down the computer. I walked out of the tiny room and caught a glance of myself as I walked by the bathroom.

I was horrified.

The very little makeup I wore was smudged all over my face. My hair was in so many knots and tangles. The clothes I was wearing were filthy, like covered in thick layers of dirt. Lastly my eyes were red, puffy, and tired along with the rest of my body.

I tried my best to wash my face and run my hands through my hair. In the end I wouldn't say I looked anywhere near presentable but it was better than before.

For the remainder of the time I just wandered around the convenience store, until I heard the bell on top of the door ring, for the first time since I walked in. I stepped out of the isle I was in, to get a better view of who came in the door.

It was him. Dressed in a pair of black jeans and a T-shirt.

At first our eyes met and for a second I got the same glance I had gotten that summer when we were in love, but that changed to a deeply concerned glance instead. In the moment we were both were frozen until I broke the stillness by walking up to him.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and he hugged me back. We just stayed like that for a moment until we both pulled away and walked towards his car. We didn't talk for the rest of the car ride, but it was a comfortable silence.

*****************

When we pulled up to my house I was about to get out, but Daniel grabbed my arm.

"Mel, I have to go back to LA tomorrow, and I don't know when I will be back"he said "So, that's why I want you to go back with me"

"Wait for real" I asked

"Yeah, you told me that you hate the life you have here, so why not come with me?"

"I don't know" I replied.

"We have an extra bedroom in the house and the boys will all love you, also you can meet Lili and I know you will be close with her, so there isn't anything to worry about" he pleaded "Please Melody".

"Ok, ok. What time is the flight?" I asked.

His smile could light up a room.

"Um, around noon I think" he said.

"Pick me up at 10. Bye"I said and waved.

I ran to my front door amazed at what just occurred.

(A/N) I just wanted to let y'all know that more than one update a day won't be happening anymore because of school work and stuff like that. Don't forget to smile, vote, comment, and possibly share.

Love, Kylie<3
