Chapter 32

Melody's pov

The past 3 days have been the same as the last. Boring.

Anna left yesterday and I already miss her.

Right now I'm just sitting in the living room looking out the window, admiring the gorgeous view.

"Hey love, how are you?" Dani asked sitting down next to me.

"Bored"

"Good, because I booked us a house on the El Capitan Reservoir" he said.

"Wait what the heck is that?"

"It's this really pretty lake in California"

"How far away is it? How long are we staying?"

"Like 2 hours and 15 minutes and 4 days"

"Dani that's so cool!"

"Great, we're leaving at 2 so get packed and put your stuff in the car"

"Dani it's 11! Why'd you wait till now to tell me?"

"I don't know. I'm going to go tell the others, can you call Christina?"

"Yeah sure"

"Ok thank you"

And with that he ran upstairs.

"Hey Christina, I just wanted to know if you'd be down to stay at this lake house with the boys and I"

"Oh my god, of course" she exclaimed "What time are we leaving?"

"2"

"You're kidding right?"

"Nope, now go get ready and I'll see you later"

"Oh, wait how long are we staying?"

"4 days"

"Ok bye"

"Bye" I hung up.

I ran upstairs to my room and started packing. I assembled my 4 outfits, as well as pajamas and my toiletries.

Once I was all packed I brought my stuff downstairs to the car.

"Melody what was the last time you spent time at a lake?" Jack asked.

"Um probably never" I replied.

"Hey there's a first time for everything. I remember the last time I spent time at a lake. I was like 9 or 10 and my whole family went to this lake in Pennsylvania for a week"

"Yeah my family was more of a take a vacation by yourself or you don't go at all" I said making him laugh.

All of sudden I saw Christina walking up the driveway with 4 suitcases, 1 backpack, and her purse.

"Uh, Christina we're only staying for 4 days, you know that right?"

"Yes, I know that. That's why I packed only the essentials"

"Ok sure" I said sarcastically.

Jack and I helped Christina load all her bags into the car, leaving minimal space for the rest of the bags.

After about an hour or so everyone was ready and we got into the car. Dani's driving, Jonah's riding shotgun, Christina and I are behind them, and Corbyn, Jack, and Zach are all sitting in the third row.

For the majority of the car ride we were all screaming song lyrics at the top of our lungs and playing games to pass the time.

Eventually we pulled up to the cabin.
