Chapter 17

Melody's pov

We got into his car and I just kept my eyes on the road.

"Ok, how about we stay the night at my parent's house, then in the morning we'll head over to the airport?" Dani asked.

"Your parent's house?" I said my breath getting quicker.

It was only his sister and him in Lincoln City that summer, so I never got a chance to meet them.

"Hey, listen they are going to love you. There is nothing to worry about"

"Really!?! So I'm guessing you're going to dive right in with the whole Lili situation as soon as we get there? Or do you think they're just going to forget about her?"

"I know, I'll tell them" I raised my eyebrows "I will! I promise."

"Oh, and Anna will be there. She's spending the some of the summer here, before she goes back to LA for school." he said.

"Wait really!" I squealed.

"You know it seems like you are more excited to see my sister then you are to see me" he said jokingly.

"Well of course, she is so much better than you" I said.

"Hey!" he said and reached over to tickle me.

"Dani stop!" I said between laughs "no seriously focus on the road."

He pulled away and we both just sat there and laughed.

He pulled into the driveway as I sat and admired the beautiful house in front of me.

"Alright, you ready?" he asked.

"Um, yeah" I said.

He grabbed my bag and hand, and we made our way to the front door. He opened the door to a huge front entryway featuring a long staircase.

"Dani, is that you?" a woman's voice called from the other room.

"Yeah Mom" he yelled back.

He then directed me towards the kitchen where his mom's back was facing us.

"Mom, there is someone I want you to meet" she turned around "This is Melody."

"Hello Melody" she said with a smile.

"Hi Mrs. Seavey" I said.

"No, please call me Keri"

"Hey Mom, where's Anna?" Dani asked.

"Uh, last time I checked she was in her room, I'll go get her"

She walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

"That went well" Dani said.

I let out a small laugh and looked down.

"Melody?" I turned around.

It was Anna. We ran and hugged each other.

"I missed you sooooo much" I said.

"Me too" she said "Come on let's go to my room."

"Wait how long are you guys staying" Keri asked.

"Just for the night. We have a flight in the morning to LA" Dani replied.

"No, you just got here" said Anna.

"Anna, you have no idea how long I have waited to bring Melody to LA" he said.

I nodded.

"Well whatever, but you are definitely staying in my room tonight" Anna said and pulled me upstairs to her room.
