Melody's pov

"Alright love birds visiting hours are over, so I'm going to have to ask you to leave" the nurse told Dani.

"Do I have to?" he pouted.

"Yes you do. I'll give you two minutes to say goodbye" she then closed the door and walked down the hallway.

"I don't want you to go" I said.

"Me either. I never want to leave your side again, but luckily this is a hospital so I know that you will be ok. And as soon as visiting hours start up again I will be here"

"Please don't go. I don't want to be alone"

"I really wish I didn't have to, but believe me when we get home you won't be able to get rid of me"

"That's not such a bad thing, you know"

"I have to go, love, but I will see you in the morning. Have the sweetest dreams" Dani said.

"I love you"

"Love you too" he responded.

"Get some sleep Melody" the nurse said peeking her head through the door.

"I will" I answered.

She closed the door and the room went dark. I could barely make out objects in the room. It took me back to when I was in that basement. Cold, scared, and alone. A panic attack was arising within me, but I calmed myself down by thinking of Dani.

I wish he was here so I could hold onto him and listen to him telling me that everything will be ok.

Instead I've got my own twisted thoughts. None of them being comforting.

I decided to close my eyes and try to do what the nurse had instructed, get some sleep.

I woke up to a team of nurses monitoring how I was doing and my doctor writing things down on his clipboard.

"Aah you're awake. Well we have some good news for you"

"Ok, go ahead"

"So after we check a few things and make sure everything is where we want it to be, you will be able to go home"

"Do you know what time that will be?"

"Well, we're estimating around 10 to 12, somewhere in that time frame"

"Ok thank you" I said.

"One of the things we do need to check is your walking ability"
"Wait does that mean there is a chance I might not be able to walk?"

"We'll just have to find out"

I pulled the sheets off and swung my legs over the side of the bed. I placed my feet on the cold floor and slowly got up. I walked as normal but it felt sore because of the cuts.

"Any pain?" he asked.

"No, it's just sore from the cuts"

"That's great! Do you think you'll need crutches" he asked.

"I don't think so"

"Alright we've just got a couple more run throughs and then your boyfriend can take you home"

Just thinking about him makes me blush.

**********

After about ten more minutes they said I was able to go home. They gave me a pair of clothes that Christina had dropped off for me.
