*tw: violence and mentions of blood*
Dean hit the water with a force that turned his body rigid.
The icy current made a grab for him, twisting around his waist and tempting him downwards. He made a struggled kick for the surface, which hung tauntingly above his face like a shimmering mirror, before the sudden weight of his falling father struck him and pulled the air from his lungs.
He was sucked under instantly.

Cas knew he'd run at least two red lights, perhaps three, and, at one point, had been incredibly close to knocking over an unsuspecting pedestrian as the front tire of the truck clipped the curb. He hadn't cared. Well, maybe a bit: but nowhere near as much as he should have.
It had been almost ten minutes since Gabriel had passed out.
Swerving the truck to the left, Cas rounded the corner of the hospital car park and kept his foot pressed firmly to the accelerator, his hands gripping the wheel tightly as he raced up an aisle of quietly parked cars.
Quiet would have to wait.
Without a second thought, Cas thrust the palm of his hand into the centre of the steering wheel. The horn screamed into life: its blast reverberating through the disturbed air.
The brakes were next.
Cas rammed his foot on the brake peddle just in time to stop short of the glass entrance doors. Through them, he could see several people rushing backwards and forwards like panicked ants.
Throwing off his seatbelt, Cas reached across to try and free his brother from his restraints. His fingers fumbled with the plug as he tried to remove the belt without harming Gabriel further: the drive would have been bad enough.
The passenger door rattled slightly and Cas could see that someone was trying to tug it open from the other side. A few seconds later, the rusted latch came free and Elsa was suddenly stood at Gabriel's side.
She looked awful.
"WE NEED HEL—" Elsa broke off as a rasped cough took a hold of her.
"HELP!" Cas finished for her. "WE NEED—"
But there was no need.
Nurses and doctors were already rushing outside, armed with an assortment of equipment and clipboards. Someone was rolling a stretcher too, it's tattered wheels making loud vibrations across the concrete.
"Sir, are you hurt?"
Someone was trying to get Cas out of the car.
"My brother needs help," Cas panted, tears reforming disobediently in his eyes. "He needs help."
On the other side of the truck, Elsa was pushed aside as yet another stranger dressed in blue materialised. This one had the stretcher.
"Are you okay?" Someone else asked.
Elsa tried to wave them away, her eyes clinging to Gabriel as he was placed on the stretcher, two doctors calling out instructions above his head.
"Ma'am," the voice insisted. "Are you harmed?"
"No." Trying to ignore the way the ground was swaying beneath her, Elsa watched as Cas appeared beside the stretcher, jogging to keep pace as it was rushed into the building.
"Ma'am, you need to get clea—"
But Elsa had already gone.
