Tails' Workshop

"What? You can't be serious!" the young twin tailed fox gasped, yanking the blue hedgehog's communicator from his wrist. If what Sonic had just told him was true, who knows what the doctor could be up to!

Sonic nodded, "Every one of his files was about us. There were files analyzing every detail of our super and dark forms."

Amy overheard the comment and was quick to walk over, "How does Eggman know everything about all your forms? Not even Tails does!"

This worried the young inventor, "If Eggman knows everything, it means I may need to analyze you three as well. If he knows your weaknesses, we need to find them, so we can turn them into your strengths."

A sudden flash made everyone turn in the direction of the agents. Amy gasped slightly at their cuts and bruises and ran to grab a medical kit. The two hedgehogs walked over to the pink hedgehog as she called them, but the ivory female went to see Tails.

"Hey, Tails, Jayde's dark form – it only comes out when her friends are in danger, right?"

Tails nodded, "Her dark form is like Sonic's – it comes out when people close to her need saving."

"And once everyone is okay, she is supposed to go back to normal?" Rouge asked.

"As long as everyone is safe, and there is no danger, there is no reason for her dark form to stay. She should turn back to normal – although she may feel a bit weak after." He responded.

Rouge frowned, glancing back that the grey hedgehog who stood tall, watching as Amy carefully tended to Shadow's wounds, "But..."

"Rouge, what's wrong?" Knuckles asked, walking up to the ivory bat.

Azure orbs looked stared at Jayde before glancing at her inhibitor rings – they were still red, "Look at the inhibitors."

Tails gaped at the rings. Once Jayde had come out of her dark form, the band on her rings should have returned to their normal color, "What happened out there?"

"She went to save this little cub after a robot chase her into the forest. But when she came back, her arms were securely wrapped around the cub, and she wouldn't give the mother back her child until she saw Shadow injured." Rouge explained, "And she wasn't weak after either."

Tails rubbed his chin, "Either she just become accustomed to using her dark form often, or something happened to that little girl – do you know what happened when Jayde went to save her?"

Rouge shook her head, "No, but it wasn't that the cub was scared either. She was clinging to Jayde."

Tails shrugged, "It might have just been a phase in her Protector state. I don't know much about it – but it seems like Eggman does."

This caught the two hedgehogs' attention, and Shadow and Jayde walked over to them. "What are you talking about?" Shadow asked, standing next to the blue hedgehog and crossing his arms.

"It seems as though Eggman has spent the past few months doing his homework." Sonic muttered.

Tails projected his screen above them all, "He's got files on everyone – even every form you three have turned into." He spoke, referring to Sonic, Shadow and Jayde, "There's files of Cleobella, me, Amy-!"

Manic's orbs widened, "Heck, he's even got files on us, sis."

"Why would he need that?" Sonia asked, "Did he know we were coming?"

"It might just be on Sonic's file because you are related, but this is still a great concern." The young fox sighed.

Jayde glanced to the Ultimate Lifeform from across the semi-circle, watching as he placed his hand on his head, a small frown on his muzzle, "Shadow?"

 Sonic looked at the ebony male beside him before emerald orbs widened and he was quick to catch the male as he dropped, his orbs closed, "Whoa!"

Jayde rushed over to him as Sonic held him up, shaking him slightly to wake him, "What's wrong with him?"

"He got hit by Eggman during the battle." Rouge answered, watching as the blue blur picked up the unconscious hedgehog and placed him on one of Tails' lab tables.

Tails frowned, his mind still wondering why the doctor had all that information them. Knuckles crossed his arms, "Maybe it took a lot out of him?"

Jayde shook her head, "His inhibitor rings would've healed him by now."

"He may be the Ultimate Lifeform, but I still think there's something wrong with him." Tails spoke, typing on his computer, "I'm going to analyze him, just in case."

"And while you're doing that, I'm going to look again in Egghead lair," Sonic spoke, "You coming, bro?"

"How rude." Sonia muttered before tagging along as the three siblings walked out the door.

Sonic smirked, wrapping his arms around both his younger siblings, "Just like old times, eh?" the two brothers fist bumped.

"Just like old times."

Eggman's lair

"I don't get it." Scourge growled, clenching his fists, "If Sonic was here, why couldn't I fight him? I could've won easily against that hedgehog!"

"I'm sure you could've." Torrent made his snide remark. It wasn't that Torrent hated the Moebians. In fact, he was happy that they had helped him escape from No Zone prison – he just couldn't stand Scourge.

"Shut up, bat!"

"Yeesh, there's too much ego flying around here." Jaylee muttered, tugging at her jacket.

Eggman rolled his eyes at the villains, "It's not that you needed to attack him right now – you'll get your chance, believe me."

"But why can't we take them now!" Jaylee whined, "It's getting boring being coped up here – don't you at least have a foosball table?"

"Do I look like the kind of person who would have a foosball table?" Eggman hissed back, "I told you that we need to understand their weaknesses. Once we do that, taking them will be easy."

"Not that we've spent the past four months watching them." Miles muttered.

"And we all know that Jayde is the Ultimate Lifeform's liability." Torrent muttered, "As long as I get dibs on that hedgehog, I don't care how long it takes."

"You will have your revenge," Eggman muttered, "But in order to do that, we need to confuse them and then strike when they least expect it." He turned to Scourge and Jaylee, "Then you know what to do."

The two Moebians smirked and looked towards one another with the same evil expression. Oh, they knew what they wanted to do. They had been planning it since the day the Mobians left – all it takes was a little bit of negative energy on Jaylee's part.
