Music: The One Who Laughs Last - Downplay

Both teams charged forward, battle cries leaving their lips as they raced towards each other. Shine turned towards the green bat, smirking, "Hey, Torrent," he spat, "I've got unfinished business with you."

The villain grinned, dropping all wants to attack the Ultimate Lifeform, deciding to face another traitor, "Have you really? Or have you been so busy getting your butt kicked by Crowny and his guards?"

"They were just a starting point," Shine hissed, the Babylon's raising on their boards behind him, "They are weak. You're the final test."

Torrent rose to their height, clenching his fists, "I'm pretty sure in a test you aren't allowed help. Those friends of yours are what make you weak – you rely on them and they betray you."

The male looked back to the group behind him, a grin on their beaks, "We may not be properly acquainted," he turned back to the bat, "But when we fight together, we fight for the same cause."

"Alright, wolf-boy," Torrent glared, a Chaos Emerald in his grasp from Dr Eggman, "Let's see how long those friends of yours last."

Silver dodged and incoming hit from the grey female before pulling a punch of his own. He growled angrily. She was the one who started all this. She was the one who turned Jayde evil. Jaylee grinned, knowing that he was agitated with her, so she decided to mess with him a bit longer.

Her azure eyes bore into his hazel ones, grinning, "Aw, is Fluffy upset?" she pouted with mock sadness, "It's a shame Jayde's like this because you were too slow."

A fireball barely missed the female's nose, and she clenched her fists, growling at the feline as she landed beside the ivory male, "Careful Silver, don't let your anger get out of control. This entire area is surrounded with negative chaotic energy."

"Listen to the kitty cat, Silvs." Jaylee grinned.

Silver glared at the lookalike for using Jayde's nickname for him, "It's your fault we are in this mess." Jaylee nodded and a smirk formed on his muzzle, "Don't you get it? As soon as Raven's done with you, she'll destroy you just the same."

Jaylee chuckled, "I don't think so. I'm too powerful for her to obliterate."

Blaze rolled her eyes uncharacteristically, "You really think that will stop her from ending you? Once she no longer needs you, you'll be cast away."

Silver grinned darkly, a strange feeling flowing through him, but he was sane enough to not let it take over, "You already know how that feels, don't you, Jaylee?"

The grey hedgehog flinched but a small chuckle still rose from her, "You call yourself heroes? You're just someone who comes from the future in hopes to change the past, so his life will be better. But you know something? Your future will never change."

"It can if I help the past!" Silver shouted, throwing a punch her way.

Jaylee easily ducked, knowing that the male before her was getting riled up, "You can't, and you know you can't. You just give yourself false hope."

The two futures glared at the hedgehog in front of them before they all charged into a full-blown fist fight. Silver's ears pinned back in anger at her words but didn't let anything stop him from showing this female. It may not have been heroic, but the negative energy in the air was messing with his head. Blaze knew this, but she also knew there was nothing she could do – Silver had to fight through it himself.

And in the middle of the battle, stood Shadow the Hedgehog.

Everyone around him was fighting, but no one was fighting him. It's like it was planned. No one else was allowed to fight him. Shadow could sense the dark aura surrounding them, a sickly, suffocating scent that only reminded him that he needed to save Jayde. The negative chaotic energy was coating the area, the only thing telling him that she was close.
