The Next Day
With Eggman
The doctor flew his team in an aircraft of his own design. The place they were going may have been well hidden from the world, but from above, it was clear as day. Eggman may have been doing this to take over, but he also despised the King there. He was a cruel, harsh leader, who punished anyone who went against him. He chuckled to himself – not like he was much better. The doctor wouldn't take to enemies well and would send Raven straight after them.
He turned to the female, her form peaceful for once as she slept. It may have seemed strange for a powerful being such as herself to need rest, but she knew that if she did, her energy levels would spike, increasing her power against others – it was a perfect excuse.
Scourge watched as she breathed lightly, finding it odd as well. He and Jaylee had hardly any sleep back on Moebius and they got the job done in a second. Even though Raven seemed sound asleep, her ear still twitched at the slightest of sounds – she was not one to miss a thing. The creature could still hear what others said, so it was best they never talked about her, or mentioned Jayde.
Eggman looked out the window and grinned, "We've arrived."
Jaylee and Torrent looked over the edge, watching as the guards already lined up on arrival of the familiar enemy, "Looks like they're lining up, Doctor." Torrent snickered.
The grey hedgehog rolled her orbs, "It's clear to see you're not liked."
The doctor chuckled, "It's because they know what's coming." He turned to see the negative form wake up, light ice orbs staring right at him, "You woke just in time, Raven."
The being confidently walked past him, glancing down at the kingdom below her. She grunted, "You really wanted to start with this place?"
"Glyphic Kingdom has a direct link to Acorn Castle. Whatever we do here will be heard by King Elias – we should make sure to cause worldwide panic." Eggman grinned, watching as she hovered towards the door as he opened it.
Raven smirked devilishly, "Oh, don't worry, I will." And she dropped backwards out the door. They watched as she twirled before straightening herself off, flying directly towards the guards. They fired towards her, but their shots were simply deflected.
The others followed shortly after, but the doctor grabbed hold of the grey hedgehog before she left, "Jaylee, Raven won't stop until she gets what she wants," he stated, not turning to look at her, "She will practically destroy that kingdom until there's nothing left unless those rodents get here."
"Isn't that the plan?" Jaylee asked, shrugging him off.
Eggman nodded, "The king is a harsh man who rules with an iron fist, I don't care about him. But if you see the Queen, get her to safety – she's done nothing wrong to deserve this. She will think you are Jayde."
"Why would she think that?"
"The renegade used to come over here all the time to help the Queen bring supplies to the village to help them."
Jaylee lowered one of her eyelids, "And you didn't attack then because?"
"Because she was doing the right thing. Maybe I am a supervillain, but that King is far worse than I could ever be - believe me." Eggman scowled, "So, please, get the Queen to safety before Raven gets a hold of her."
The grey hedgehog smirked, crossing her arms, "Who knew you had such a soft side, Doc?"
He looked at her, "Of course I do, I am a gentleman." Jaylee snickered at this before she nodded and jumping out the aircraft without another word.
