Tails' Workshop

"We've got to get Amy back – Tails, where is she?" the blue blur frantically asked.

The twin-tailed fox glanced at his proclaimed brother, "I don't know, Sonic. Eggman's new defenses are blocking my computer from accessing his CCTV." Cleobella flinched at this.

"Well we've got to do something! We can't just leave her there!"

Shadow growled at the blur hedgehog, but Rouge spoke up before him, "Sonic, Amy's not the only one there. You need to calm down, so we can sort this out without more problems."

Sonic drew a breath and walked outside, looking up to the blue sky. He didn't know why he was acting up – he could easily save Amy from the doctor's lair. But the fact of what Eggman wanted Jayde for is what made him nervous. If what he read on the files that Rouge found was true, Amy could be in serious danger, and not from Eggman.

The blue hedgehog flinched himself out of that thought. How could he say that about Jayde? It's not like she would purposely transform into her other form. But Sonic was sure that Silver said she could no longer come through. When Shadow and Jayde turned into their super forms, her inhibitor rings went bright green, indicating that the negative chaotic energy was no longer within her.

Sonic was knocked out of these thoughts when a jade blur flew past him and straight into Tails' workshop. He ran in, immediately seeing the rose female, "Amy!"

Amy was leant against the blue blur chest as she coughed, "Great landing, Silver." They heard another female voice.

The gang looked back and saw the ivory hedgehog groan, placing a hand on his head, "I'm sorry. Still not used to that." He answered the feline beside him.

"Silver? Blaze?" Tails asked, walking over to them, "What are you doing here?"

Silver sighed, looking at the ground with a heavy heart, "We were too late..."

"Too late for what?" Knuckles asked, "You're never late."

Blaze stood to her feet, ears pinned back as she looked into crimson orbs, "Jayde's been returned to her negative form."

The ebony male seemed to flinch at this, and it was like a pain shot straight through him. But it was just that. Fury seemed to set in his orbs as he glared at her, "Impossible. She has no more negative chaos energy in her. Mephiles is gone."

"It wasn't him." Silver mumbled, standing to his feet, "Jayde's Moebian counterpart is her opposite, right? Or in better words, Jaylee is her negative."

"But I thought it was the negative energy of Chaos Emeralds that turned her evil?" Tails asked.

Silver shook his head, clenching his fists, "The Moebius version of the Shards are different to Jayde's. Where hers is powerful for good reasons, the Riots crystal for Moebius is coated in darkness." He looked away, "She wouldn't have stood a chance."

Amy looked up, tears in her orbs, "It was horrible. T-They... she..." the rose female sobbed, unable to get out the words as Sonic pulled her into a hug.

"What's wrong with Amy?" Rouge asked, kneeling and placing a hand of comfort on the female's back.

Blaze looked at the crying hedgehog, a pang of anger washing over her for what the doctor had done, "Let's just say, she had a front row seat to the transformation." She answered.

"Jayde just kept s-screaming." Amy hiccupped, "I-I've never heard her in so much pain before."

Shadow's ears pinned back, and he walked out, trying to avoid hearing anymore. For once, he just wanted everything to be perfect. He wanted no Eggman, no evil plan popping up unexpectedly – he just wanted it to be him and Jayde. The female's time was limited, and all he wanted to do was spend every second with her, creating memories.

The azure female walked out and looked at the Ultimate Lifeform as he stared out into the forest. A pang of guilt washed over her, and she walked towards him, ears pinned back, "I'm sorry." She whispered.

Crimson orbs didn't stray from the forest, "Why are you sorry?"

"It's all my fault." She spoked, tears filling her orbs, "I'm the one who put that defense system up. I'm the one who created that cell to cage something more powerful. I'm the one who's responsible for Jayde's suffering, because I created it all when I was working with Dr Eggman."

Shadow turned to her, and she flinched slightly, but he made no move to attack, "I thought you said you were under the doctor's control?"

She nodded, "I was."

"So, why are you blaming yourself?" Shadow asked, "You had no way of knowing that it would be used for Jayde."

"But still, look what I did!" Cleobella spoke, raising her hands, "Jayde was locked in a cell that drained her energy, that was created by me. I've caused pain to Amy because she watched Jayde transform into that evil being. I've hurt Sonic because of that, and I've hurt you because Jayde's gone. What kind of friend am I? How can I even call myself her friend?"

Shadow clenched his fists slightly, glaring at her, "If you were really Jayde's friend, you wouldn't be standing here complaining about everything you've done wrong. You'd be in there, with Tails, finding a way to save her." And he chaos controlled away without another sound.

What the ebony hedgehog said was harsh and it hurt, but she knew he was right. If she really cared about Jayde and she really was her friend, she should be looking for her and not crying about stuff she couldn't change. Cleobella furiously wiped away her tears and clenched her fists. She was going to make it up to Jayde, even if the hedgehog didn't know what she had done.

Tails turned to the ivory hedgehog, a small frown on his face, "How did you chaos control into Eggman's lair? He has teleportation defenses up!"

Silver shrugged, "Maybe it was because too much energy was going in to transform Jayde that he didn't worry about the guard." He looked at the rose hedgehog as she hugged the blue blur, "Jayde told me to save Amy." His ears pinned back, "I could already see it in her eyes that she knew."

"Jayde did what Jayde does best," Tails looked at the pink female and smiled sadly, "Protect people."
