Eggman's Lair

The dark female walked into the control room behind the strengthened Jaylee, her face completely emotionless. Nothing seemed to have changed since she was last here. The guard bots were still patrolling, and Eggman's henchmen still coward in fear from her.

She smirked. That's just how she wanted it.

The evil genius turned in his chair and he grinned when he saw the female behind the Moebian, "Ah, Raven. Glad to see you returned to us."

The creature crossed her arms, "Glad you didn't call me that weakling's name."

"Please, we all know that you are by far more powerful than her. You deserve to be called differently." Eggman answered, noticing that she was easier to talk to this time around.

"I just have one question," she spoke, ice eyes giving a look to everyone in the room, "Why did you unleash me again? You know that I was forced forward this time, I'm superior compared to my last form."

"We need you." Eggman answered, "And I know that you want revenge on those who sealed you away."

"Then she should get in line." A male spoke, walking through the doors. Torrent crossed his arms and stared at the female before circling around her. She watched him, crossing her arms, "I see the transformation was a success."

"Of course, it was," Jaylee snapped at him, still in her super form, "Did you really think that I'd fail when we are one in the same?"

"You are not the same." Torrent replied.

The negative form spoke, "It's a technicality. I am the Mobius form of her because she is Jayde's evil-twin. Whatever she has done, is exactly what I can do – and worse."

Torrent smirked, "You are nothing like Jayde."

At once she was in front of him, ice orbs clashing against one another, "I am not Jayde. Do not mention that weakling to me. She concealed me, hid me from the world, and now I have returned."

Scourge walked beside Jaylee, holding her steady as her super form wore off. The grey hedgehog noticed a difference between Jayde and Raven – clearly it was a big difference, but the creature hated being called something she actually was.

"We are going to end those rats once and for all," Eggman crackled, watching them on the spy screen, "Once we unleash you on them, they don't stand a chance."

Raven looked to the evil genius, "I won't give them a chance."

Tails Workshop

It was late at night, but the blue fox didn't sleep at all. Her fingers were quickly tracing over the keyboard, looking for something, anything, that could help them with Jayde's return. Silver and Blaze rested on the sofa in the young fox's workshop, not having anywhere else to stay. Raiden and Mitzy stayed in Jayde's home, though it felt cold and empty without her.

Tails walked in with a yawn, rubbing his eyes, "Bella, it's late. You need to get some sleep." He spoke, walking over to her.

Cleobella didn't respond, her eyes gleaming as she accessed some files that the twin tailed fox couldn't. She knew her way around Eggman's system. Even if she was controlled by him, she could still remember everything she did.

"How did you get in his system?" Tails asked, leaning over to stare at the new information on screen.

"I worked for him, remember?" she sighed, "I helped to create this – I practically helped him unleash Raven again. But we have to get her back."

The ivory hedgehog opened one of his eyes, sitting up. Sleep would not take over as long as he knew Jayde was in her negative form. The whole point of him coming back was to try and prevent this, and he failed. He looked up as he saw the two foxes talking and walked over the them, "Jayde was forced into her negative form this time." He spoke.

"It just means it's going to be even harder to bring her back." Cleobella mumbled, "Shadow transferring more positive energy won't work a second time. She is immune."

"What do you mean?" Silver asked.

"The cell that Jayde was in not only stole her energy but gave it to her as well. But the energy that she received was negative Riots energy from Jaylee's shard. Raven will also know who Shadow is - he'll be the one she comes for." Cleobella answered, "I know that Eggman is trying to take this planet over, but he's acting differently to what he usually would."

"Is that why he attacked Westopolis?" Tails asked.

Cleobella nodded, "In his files, he's named a number of locations, going from Monopole to Spagonia." She combed her fingers through her hair, "I don't know what his plans are."

Tails put a hand on her shoulder and smiled, "It's okay, we'll figure it out." The twin tailed fox looked to the ivory hedgehog before asking, "Silver, why are you back?"

The male tensed. He wanted to avoid this question more than anything because it reminded him how much he failed his mission. He huffed, "I came to try and protect Jayde, but I was too late."

"Yes, but why are you here now? At this exact time? How did you know that this was going to happen again?" Tails asked.

"I didn't." Silver answered, "After the first time we returned Jayde, I thought everything would be okay. I never thought that Raven could be unleashed again," he glanced around, "For some reason, I looked back into the history of this timeline, and I read about this moment. There was a powerful being that was reborn in Eggman's lair – I never expected it to be Jayde."

"So, you came back to try and save her? What happened after that?" Cleobella asked, intrigued by this time traveler.

Silver scratched his neck, "I can't tell you. To be honest, I don't really know what becomes of it. If I did say anything more, it could destroy the timeline and everything in it."

The azure fox looked disappointed but understood his reasons. Tails clenched his fists and smiled bravely, "I guess we've just got to try our hardest to save the Protector."
