Sonic arrived on the scene before everyone else, gasping at the sight. More robots, similar to the ones earlier, were once again on a rampage through the city, burning buildings, crushing cars - he had to give it to Eggman, he sure knew how to make a mess. Sonic gritted his teeth before rolling into a fast spin dash, circling around the robot that was terrorizing the civilians. Eggman laughed loudly, even when the blue hedgehog destroyed his biggest mech.

"Ah, the blue pincushion. How nice to see you again!"

Sonic unrolled and looked up to the eggcarrier, hands on his hips, "Where's Jayde, Baldy McNosehair!"

"She's safe – for now. But in a few short days, she won't even remember you!" The doctor laughed at the blue blur growled.

A loud shout came from the trees before another robot crashed down into scrap. The evil genius glared at his failed invention before looking towards the two hedgehogs, "Why do you triplets irritate me so?" he yelled, leaving Sonic to smirk at his siblings' dramatic entrance.

Manic waved, "Hey, Robuttnik, long time no see!"

Eggman rubbed his temple, "And yet, that time is still too short. I knew there was a reason why I hadn't missed either of you."

Sonia looked at her younger brother, "Aw, would you hear that? We aren't welcomed here."

Manic grinned, "Let's show him how much we apricate it!" And the two began to wreak more of the doctor's robots, protecting a group of Mobians who were stranded on the corner.

"How's that Ultimate Traitor doing?" Eggman hummed.

"We found out your plan and now he's going to be fine." The twin tailed fox flew above them, glaring at the doctor, "It was a poor attempt of trying to turn him evil."

The evil genius laughed, "Shadow? Oh, no, he's not the one I wanted. I've already got the renegade because of that distraction."

"What distraction?" Tails asked.

"The distraction of you putting all your effort into getting Shadow corrected, you didn't latch on to the idea that I might have just wanted to get Shadow out of the way, so I could get that Protector." Eggman smirked.

"Whatever, Egghead. We'll get Jayde back before tomorrow comes." Sonic pointed towards him, the echidna and ivory bat standing behind him.

"Why did you capture Jayde in the first place?" Rouge asked, not letting her guard down.

"There's two reasons," The evil genius grinned, looking down at the Mobians, "I'm holding her prisoner for a very important reason that you'll soon find out. But the second reason, is to make Shadow weaker."

"They strengthen each other, yolks for brains." Sonic rolled his orbs, "The only thing you've done is anger Shads, and I don't think you want him to come knocking on your door."

"He won't be knocking." Knuckles added.

Eggman chuckled, his orbs twinkling behind his glasses, "Oh, you blue buffoon, you do realize that I wasn't just talking about Shadow? Without Jayde, your entire team weakens."

"Well then, you've got all of us coming to knock down your door." Knuckles smacked his namesakes together.

The evil genius hummed, "I've spent the past four months studying all of you. Now, tell me, Sonic, why didn't you bring your girlfriend along?"
