the thundering sound of something dropping loudly on my hardwood floor. i jumped up and morgan stopped whatever she was doing like a deer caught in headlights.
"what are you doing?" i groggily asked.
i swear if she's trying to steal something
"i put my phone on the dresser last night and i went to get it but i knocked the remote off . i didn't mean to wake you, sor-"
"shut up." i mumbled and rubbed my eyes.
"huh." she asked quietly.
"you keep saying sorry. it was a mistake, it's okay." she nodded and continued to stand.
"um would you happen to have a spare toothbrush, my mouth taste gross."
"uh yeah, i'll go with you, i need to brush my teeth too." i hopped off of the bed and she followed me as we walked to the bathroom.
i opened a drawer that held a couple of necessities and grabbed a packaged toothbrush.
"wait what texture did you want, soft, medium, or hard?"
"medium please." i handed her the medium toothbrush and she unpackaged it. she ran it under warm water to clean it a bit and we quickly brushed our teeth.
"i think nick dropped off some breakfast if you wanna eat something." i offered and she nodded so we went into the kitchen and sure enough, there was food on the island.
"do you always have people drop food off for you or do you actually cook food?" she teased.
"i honestly only eat cereal if i don't have food delivered but i know how to cook." i handed her a platter of food and we sat down on the stools that were placed near the island.
"so basically you're a spoiled brat?"
"no, i'm not. and you're gonna stop calling me that." i threatened.
"or what?" she said.
i looked over at her with a raised brow. "or i'm gonna poison your food and watch you choke." she laughed and took the plastic forks out of the bag.
"you're actually really weird."
"i'm gonna take that as a compliment." i said and began to eat my eggs.
"are all your friends like you too?" she asked.
i shrugged. "i mean, they can be. we all have our weird personalities but they just kind of fit."
"which ones are you closest with because there's a lot of you guys."
"i'm close with all of them, i can be myself around them but if i have to say it would be amirah and caleb."
i love everyone equally, i'm just around them more
"is amirah the one with the pink hair?" her head tilted.
"yeah."
"oh, i don't think she likes me very much." she mumbled and her shoulders fell.

"when we she looks at me, it looks like she's disgusted by me. she acts like i'm the one that stole her boyfriend or something." her voiced seemed to rise a bit and i almost choked on my bacon.

"excuse me?" i managed to get out.
"i don't mean to seem rude but ya know how she messes around with a lot of guys?" i nodded. "like that's perfectly fine, if that's what you like, i'm gonna let you rock, that was none of my business until it was. so when i say this, i mean it literally. i didn't even get to kiss him, i haven't even had my first kiss which is kind of embarrassing. we dated for almost two days until she used her charm and fucked him." her voice cracked at the end of her sentence. i could tell she really liked him.
i didn't even notice i stopped chewing. i swallowed whatever was in my mouth and wrapped my arms around her neck. "it's alright, i didn't know she did that."
obviously i knew she took peoples boyfriends (even the so called gay ones) but i never really thought about how it would make the other significant feel
"and it's not like i liked him for a day, he was my best friend for years, i actually loved him and it broke my heart that he left so easily. it was like he only asked me to be his girlfriend just because he felt bad. that's why i'm so cautious around people." she mumbled.
seeing her like this made me wonder if me and amirah actually started dated. would i be like morgan? heartbroken
maybe i should give up on her. i mean, it's been a year since she been like this and it doesn't seem like she'll end her ways anytime soon... so why should i wait?
"what was his name?" i probably shouldn't have asked that but i wanna know.
"his name is luca." she said.
i've heard her mention his name before but i don't know what he looks like.
i hummed as an answer and let her go. "how about we try to not think about this anymore and go play video games." i offered.
she laughed but nodded. she also shoved the last bit of her food in her mouth and we made her way up the stairs to the gaming room.
once we got to the room, i handed her a controller as she picked out a game to play. i expected her to not know a lot about videos game but when she put the gaming disc in the console perfectly, i realized she knew exactly what she was doing.
i smirked once the game popped up for me to click because i could tell she was competitive.

"you tryna die." i said as she plopped down on the gaming chair that was next to me.
"yeah okay. i played this game ever since i was 12, i know what i'm doing." we picked out our characters and i rolled my eyes as she picked out a girl.
