i learned that anticipation makes time move veryyyyy slow
the more i thought about meeting up with morgan, the slower these 45 minutes passed
after what seemed like a day, the bell finally dismissed us
i quickly shoved everything into my bag. sophia looked at me a bit concerned as i sped out of the classroom but i quickly waved farewell to her before i left.
the library was a little journey away from my class and i didn't want morgan to think i was standing her up so i made it there as quick as possible.
i saw morgan looking around but once she saw me, her facial expression changed to a happier look.
"you ready?" i asked and she nodded. we walked out of the school and into her red jeep, speeding down the street.
i watched the scenery change drastically from somewhat decent, to nice and elegant. my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
i thought she said she lived in a shit neighborhood
this doesn't look like shit
it's almost as nice as my town
she pulled into a gated community which revealed a nice cul de sac. the houses were at least two story, some looking three stories. from what i could see, the lawns were nicely maintained, and there were nice cars parked in the garages attached to the houses.
she parked her car in front of one of the houses that seemed like a two story house. there was a mini garden with a variety of flowers.
they were beautiful
she took her keys out and unlocked the door. the living room was nicely furnished but it was accompanied by two men violently playing video games on the television.
i could basically hear morgan roll her eyes as she watched them.
"i have company." she said loudly, shocking me a bit because it seemed like she totally disregarded her low volume.
the game immediately paused and both men almost broke their necks from turning so fast. one man seem visibly older while the other looked at least in his early twenties.
"oh shit, i mean, hello." the older man corrected himself but morgan chuckled as she hung up her coat.
i waved with a light smile and the man got up.
is he gonna hit me wh-
he wrapped his arms around my body, warming me. i hesitated hugging back but eventually did.
"he's a hugger." the younger one cringed.
"i see." i responded with a laugh as he slapped the shit out of my back, which i guess was supposed to be a pat.
he finally let me go but held my shoulders as if he was examining me.
"you got a good one." he looked over at morgan who was blushing profusely.
"dad let him go, we have to do some extra work." she lied but i wasn't exactly in a place to be mad at that since i was getting a little uncomfortable with his face being so close to mine.
"yeah yeah, leave the door open." her dad said and say back down on the grey couch with, i suppose, her brother.
"oh fuck off." she groaned making her family laugh loudly.
we got to her room, which looked like she threw her whole closet on the ground, and slammed the door even louder causing the men downstairs to laugh harder.
