2 weeks later

i had just gotten off of the phone with josh, since we were planning on hanging out soon. since the fight with amirah, and me hanging out with morgan, we haven't really gotten the time to chill.

and i miss him dearly so i can't wait until tomorrow to meet up with him.

"look at that one!" sophia shouted, and pointed to a newly bloomed flower.

"here, take a picture of it." i handed her the camera that i was holding so she can capture the flower.

sophia and i like to go into a certain meadow, far away from trashy brooklyn, to relax and get a new sense of scenery.

we only make the trip once in a blue moon since this location is almost 4 hours away, but after all the insane things that's been going on, we really needed this.

the only think that could be heard was nature's music.

birds chirping alluring songs, the whistling sounds of the winds, grass and leaves crunching beneath our feet was the tranquility that we desired.

amirah never knew about this spot. truthfully no one knows about this spot, only me and sophia. we agreed that the spot will only be used between us two. it was our place.

no one is here to judge and we are free to be ourselves. of course we can be ourselves in front of the group, but when the group is all together, it's usually not quiet and calm.
more like loud and laughter.

sophia and i found a clear spot of grass and placed a blanket on it to protects our butts from spiked shards.

she grabbed her book bag which held our snacks and laid them out on the soft blanket.

i grabbed my sandwich and a bag of chips and began munching.

"so how are you and wyatt?" i asked. they always kept their relationship really lowkey so we never really know what's going on with them. we didn't even know they started dating until 3 months into the relationship.

at lunch, wyatt is usually asleep and usually had no idea what's going on. but when he is up, he gives his input on thing and it's very useful. he's the voice of reasoning in our group but we usually ignore him.
for example: he'll tell us to not throw a glass vase because it might break, but everyone dismisses him, until the vase breaks.

there is a really thin chance of someone actually listening to wyatt. nevertheless, he still loves us. at least i think he does.

"we're doing good. he cooked dinner for me the other night and we watched a couple of movies until we fell asleep so that was really fun. his mom and i went shopping together and we got to know each other a lot more and i think it's safe to say she likes me." she spoke clearly.

"i actually have faith in your relationship with him, you guys are a great match." i said and she giggled.

"we are, i'm glad to have people like you guys in my life. i honestly don't know where i'd be without you guys." she attempted to give me a hug but due to the position we're in, it kind of failed but it still meant a lot.

we were quiet for a while, eating our food and looking at the scenery.

"um not to bring her up but, do you have any idea where amirah could've went?"

what?

"excuse me?" i spoke with a mouth full of chips.

"none of us have seen her since the argument. i don't think she's even been to school, let alone lunch."

how did i not notice she's been gone for 2 whole weeks?!

"well josh didn't ask me about her when i was on the phone with him so she could just be home." i offered even though i didn't really sound that confident in my statement.

"yeah, maybe." sophia didn't seem too sure either but we let it go, not wanting to worry ourselves.

but i'm not worrying myself because i truly do not care

she's probably out shacking with some random dudes as we speak

"well i know you want to speak about this, how are you and morgan?" she nudged me.

i chuckled. "pretty good."

"that's it?" she didn't really seem too happy with my answer.

"i mean yeah, what did you think? we were gonna say i love you 3 weeks in? we're not even dating yet, just testing the water."

"i mean i guess that's good. i was just expecting something a bit more juicer."

"what did you and wyatt do that was so juicy in the 3 week of you guys talking?!" i screeched making her laugh.

"just a few make out sesh's nothing too crazy."

"i mean yeah, i kissed her a few more times, but you were making it sound like you wanted us to fuck already."

"oh shut up." she pushed me.

"i'm gonna have to talk to wyatt about slowing it down a bit." i teased.

"i will chop your balls off right now with this plastic knife if you even dare."

"jesus! so hostile."
