"i'll see you later." i gave morgan a kiss to her forehead and let her go into her class. she waved bye and i started to walk to the cafeteria. the bell had just rang signaling i was late but i don't get consequences for being late to lunch.
i walked through the doors and quickly went to my table.
"where were you?" amirah asked once i sat down.
"i was walking my new friend to class." i explained.
"oh okay, i was waiting for you so we can get lunch together."
"oh sorry, we can go now." we got up and went to the almost empty lunch line. i asked for what i wanted and paid for it and patiently waited for amirah to get hers.
once she got her food, we went back to the table to start eating.
"how did hanging out with your new friend go?" caleb asked which gained amirahs attention.
"you hung out with her?" amirah asked.
"yeah, and to answer your question, i had a lot of fun." i responded but amirah still seemed stuck on the fact i hung out with morgan.
"wait, i asked if you wanted to hang out yesterday but you said you were busy." her eyebrows furrowed. the table got a little quieter at that.
"yeah, i was busy hanging out with my friend."
"you could've just said that, i wouldn't have cared." amirah shrugged.
"i wasn't saying it to spare your feelings, i was just saying i was busy, it was the truth." i spoke truthfully.

"maybe we can all hang out one day." amirah offered and caleb looked at me with a troubled look.
"i don't think that'll be a good idea."
this made her even more confused.
"what? why not?"
"because their boyfriend has been stolen by you."
she looked surprised.
"what if they're lying?" she asked.
i shook my head. "they have no reason to lie."
"and i do?" she sounded hurt.
she looked even more hurt when i didn't answer.
"you know what. fine. hope you have a nice time with your new friend finn." she grabbed her tray and threw it out. she grabbed her stuff and left the cafeteria.
i felt everyone's eyes on me but i didn't want to make eye contact.

"who is this girl that's so precious that you just sacrificed your friendship with amirah?" jaeden asked.
i cleared my throat and shifted in my seat.
"um so i'll admit i did like amirah."
"duh." everyone interrupted me causing me to roll my eyes.
"shut up. anyways, i made a new friend. morgan galaes? i'm pretty sure you guys know her." everyone answer my question with a nod.
"well i've been friends with her for almost a month but it feels like i've known her for a while. but she's helping me to get over amirah, even though she doesn't really know that, but we kissed, and i really liked it. she's a really fun person."
"aww. that's so cute." millie cooed and my face heated up.
"you said that amirah took her boyfriend?" gaten asked.
"oh yeah, remember that guy that was always with her. luca, i think is his name." and everyone said yeah.
"that was her boyfriend?" jeremy screeched.
"that is until amirah used her "boy charm" on him and fucked him. they only dated for two days. they didn't even get to kiss."
"jesus." chosen mumbled.
"but they were best friends for years before that, so it hurt her really bad and i'm pretty sure it would make her uncomfortable to be around amirah."
"that's so sad, i feel bad." sophia pouted.
"now you understand why i said what i said."
"i mean yeah, but you were kind of mean." jaeden said quietly.
i shrugged.
"are you gonna apologize?" sadie asked.
i shook my head. "no, i said what i said and i meant it. i could've said it a bit nicer but i can't really fix that now."
"i mean you can but you're not going to." jack said and everyone laughed.
i know i hurt her feelings
but the thing is
i really don't care.
