Nick led Selena into his reserved room. They booth threw their suitcases on the floor and sat on the soft bed. Nick and Selena were booth exhausted from the plane ride and not mention, staying up at four in the morning.
"You're family's nice." Selena smiled. "Thanks." Nick replied. "I especially love your mom." She added. "We should just unpack so you could help them with the cooking." He said annoyed.
"Is there something wrong?" She asked. "I just don't want you to become attached to them became this is just for two months, and I'll tell them we broke up." Nick shrugged. "Okay." Selena understood.
"Why didn't you tell me?" She asked. "Tell you what?" He asked. "All this extra stuff. I knew that your brothers had girlfriends but I didn't know they'd have kids by now." She smiled. "You were such a Know-It-All." He smirked. "Haha." She said. "Let's pack up." Nick ordered.
She sat up and started to unpack her clothes. She hung up her dresses and such in the medium-sized walk in closet. Nick did the same, although he had most of his clothes already in there.
Once finished, they sat back on his bed. "Gomez." He called. "Yeah." She looked his way. "You can cook, right?" He asked, hoping she'd say yes. "Yes, of course." Selena nodded. A relief of sigh escaped Nick's mouth. "Thank God." He said relieved.
Selena chuckled at his action. "You know, I think you should start calling me by my name now." She said. "I figured." He chuckled. She smiled and rubbed her arm.
"We should um..." Nick started. "What?" She asked. "We should practice kissing, you know.... because cheek kisses is not really convincing." He said nervously. "Oh." Selena said awkwardly, but was dying inside. She'd dream of it before, but not in that situation.
"Ready?" He asked. She nodded and looked down, sighing. Nick lifted her chin with his index finger. He leaned in halfway, waiting for Selena to move in. "You know it takes two to kiss." He said impatiently. "Right." She said and leaned in.
They were about an inch apart, their breaths blowing on each other's lips. Nick closed the gap by connecting their lips. His left hand reached for her waist, and he gently held it. His other hand was rested around her neck.
She wrapped her arm around his neck, while the other hand rested on his leg. Their lips danced together in harmony. She lifted her hand and put it in his curly hair. Nick instantly pulled away. "Not my hair, okay?" He said. "Yeah, sorry." She said then looked away.
"Just do it right this time." Nick said. "Okay." She said softly. Nick sighed and kissed his fiancé. The same actions were repeated, except the whole hair drama. Selena loved the feeling of his lips on hers. Nick on the other hand, was unsure. He had mixed feelings about this kiss. He liked it, but disliked it. It felt magical, but sloppy. He was confused.
"Awe!" They heard. Selena and Nick quickly pulled away and looked in the direction of the voice. There stood Denise, smiling widely as possible. "Mom..." Nick groaned. "Sorry I couldn't help it, you guys are so cute." She beamed.
"Thanks, but next time, can you knock?" He pleaded. "Yes of course, y'all need your privacy." She winked. Nick shook his head and chuckled. "Not like that mom... geez." He said smiling. "Okay, well the girls are waiting for you Selena." Denise smiled.
Selena nodded. She smiled and turned to Nick, "Babe, I'm going to help the girls with dinner." Selena said then pecked his lips. "Okay, have fun." He waved as the girls left.
He sighed and touched his lips. He never felt that spark with Olivia. He thought he did, but it wasn't there. And speaking of Olivia, his phone rung. It was her. Literally her, that was Olivia' s name on his phone: her. He picked it up and slid the green button.
"Hello?" He asked, annoyed. "Where are you babe?" She asked worryingly. "I'm busy right now." He answered. "I came home to see trash everywhere, where's Anne?" She asked then popping her gum. "She quit a week ago." He sighed.
"Oh, well I can't wait for you to come home, I've been horny." Olivia said seductively. "Well that's gonna have to wait, because I'm on a business trip for two months." He lied. "What?!" She yelled. "I'm making a huge businesses deal in China. It will take Jonas Daily to the top." He wished. "You'll get more money?" She asked. "Yeah." He lied. "Okay! Can't wait to see you, bring me back something. Bye!" She said in one sentence then hung up.
Nick sighed and plopped his phone on his bed. He knew the only reason Olivia stayed with him after saying no to his proposal was for the money. But he didn't mind, he just didn't want to be all alone.
** Meanwhile **
Selena walked into the kitchen with her soon to be mother-in-law. Demi and Danielle were chopping up some vegetables, with casual talks here and there. "Selena, come join us." Demi said invitingly. "What are we making?" She asked as she made her way over to the girls. "Well, we're making lasagne and salad." Dani smiled.
"Cool." Selena said. "Do you like lasagne Selena?" Denise asked as she layered the sauce onto the food. "I don't." Selena replied frowning. "Why not?" Demi asked. "I don't eat meat." She said smiling.
It was quiet in the room. Real quiet. "No wonder you're so fit." Denise said then playfully pinched her arm. The girls laughed it off and continued to cook.
"So does that mean you don't know how to cook meals with meat in them?" Dani asked. "Oh no, I do." Selena smiled. "I loved meat before I decided to become a vegetarian." She added. "What changed your mind?" Demi asked. "I don't really recall that." She said as she looked up, trying to reminisce.
A chuckle escaped from Demi's and Dani's lips. They enjoyed Selena and her quirky self. She was the kind of person to make them laugh without even trying.
Selena chuckled. "What?" She asked. "You're so funny. I like you already." Demi said and gave her a side hug. "I like you too. All three of you." Selena complimented. "Awe." The girls gushed.

The kitchen was filled with laughter. No matter which room you were in, you could hear the faint giggling of the girls. Nick was trying to type an article of his section, but couldn't because of the noise. He wondered what was so funny, so he decided to go check on them.
"What's going on?" He said as he entered. Denise wiped a tear from her eye and smiled. "Selena, you didn't tell us she was funny." She said, now calming a little. "I wanted you to see for yourselves." He said then pecked Selena's lips. She smiled up at him, making it seem more realistic.
He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Can you keep it down, I'm trying to finish my article before dinner." He said then kissed her ear. "Darling." He added before leaving. Selena sighed as she put some tomato slices into the salad. "What did he say?" Denise asked. "Um.. he's doing his work so he wanted me to keep it down a bit." She replied.
Selena then added croutons to the mix. "Oh, you know men and their work." Denise said. "Mine's a workaholic." She added. "Yeah, so is Nick." Selena said truthfully. "He barely has time." Selena commented, acting her part. "He doesn't seem like the romantic guy anyways." Demi said, trying to cheer he up. "He can when he wants to be." Selena smiled.
